Re: Shopbot Link and Norton

I use the Windows AV software and have not had a problem on my design computer running Windows 7. SBLink runs fine on the design computer.

Re: Need laptop advise. How are these specs?

I've got 16GB RAM and Quad core processor in my design computer and eCabs really starts to slow down when I'm working on a custom room layout and start adding cabinets to it. I don't know what the magic amount of RAM and how many CPU's you need to keep performance good when working on large projects...

Re: Shopbot Link and Norton

Deinstall all AV software, disconnect your machine from the internet and dedicate your computer to be your control computer. If you have a bunch of other stuff running on your control computer, it will cause comms problems. Also, if you have everything working on the computer, you don't want Windows...

I think there are still some issues in the stretcher editor

On the current job I am doing, I've noticed that when I cut parts for cabinets, some of the stretchers are not getting tenons cut and no mortises are being cut in the cabinets sides. I will bring a cabinet into stretcher editor, add and adjust stretchers and go back to CE. I will save the cabinet an...

Measurements for a display door

Is there a way in LDE it get measurements on a display door? I can't seem to get the cursor to snap to any of the corners of the display door. This is for the customer to see.

Re: Printing From Line Drawing Editor

I've kinda given up trying to print from inside eCabs. I do a screen print then bring it into an image editor, crop it and save it. Nothing is lost during printing inside eCabs (dimensions, etc.) and no crashes.

Nesting orientation issue?

I have a drawer box that I made. In the settings I've specified that I want the grain orientation of the front and back to be up and down (rotate 90 degrees in settings). It is displayed properly in the dbx editor. However, when I go to nest the cabinet the orientation of the dbx front and back are ...

Resizing cabinet to zero when placing in room design

I am trying to place a cabinet between two cabinets, that according to eCabs, are 18.5" apart. The cabinet I'm trying to insert is 18" wide. I get the resulting dialog box stating the cabinet is going to be resized to 0. Not sure why an 18" cabinet needs to be resized to 0 to fit into...

Re: Uh Oh on 6.1.3 update

Holy crap! That's a lot of work to recreate everything and have to do all the PE editing again.

Uh Oh on 6.1.3 update

Not sure whats going on with this cabinet but I can't make any changes to it since I upgraded to 6.1.3. I could make all the changes I wanted in 6.1.2.

Went in to delete a shelf and a partition. Clicked on Main and started getting errors.

Please help!! :wall:

Re: Adding shelf deletes a drawer box

Thanks Scott.

I just thought it kinda non-intuitive that adding a shelf would remove a drawer box. Like you said, not sure if this is the way it's designed to work or not.

Adding shelf deletes a drawer box

In the attached cabinet, I had a drawer placed just above the fixed shelf in the middle of the cabinet. I went into shelf editor to add adjustable shelves in the space above the drawer and the drawer was removed from the cabinet. Went back to Main editor and the drawer was in fact gone. Went back to...

Re: Gotta just love the crashes

You're right, edit, save, edit, save. Very time consuming with bigger jobs loaded up. I would estimate in an hour worth of work I'm using up about 10-15 minutes watching the hour class spin as I go from editors to the room layout and save, back to editors, back to room layout and save. :|

Gotta just love the crashes

In CM and for no reason eCabs just crashes and looses all the changes I've made. How about a background AUTO-SAVE feature that will save your project at intervals set by the user. I'm getting tired of doing all the edits in a cabinet and loosing them for no reason. Very annoying and WASTE of time ha...
