Re: Changing drawer box depth

I normally set my Back Inset to 1" and then set the front to back depth for the drawer box (16", 18", 20", etc.) for the length of drawer slides I use. Blum concealed, soft-close slides. Depth of drawer is critical or the slides won't work.

Re: Changing drawer box depth

I am trying to change a 20" (front to back length) dbx to 16" front to back length. Other two dimensions don't need to change.

Which editor should I be in - CE or door/drawer editor?

Changing drawer box depth

Is there any way to change the depth of a drawer box once it is installed in a cabinet? I've got a cabinet with 9 drawer boxes with many part editor modifications to them. I've tried the Construction parameters dialog box in Door/Drawer editor and that doesn't work. I don't want to have to delete al...

Re: Drilling operations on part editor geometry

They are ~6mm.

Wow, I apologize to everyone. I thought they had been set at 5mm. I must be loosing my marbles.

I will setup a 6mm bit in my tooling and that should take care of it. I'm so sorry if I inconvenienced anyone with this....

Re: Drilling operations on part editor geometry

Nat, I am set up with all my router bits listed first then three sizes of drills bits listed after the router bits. I find it interesting that when cutting cabinets parts with 1/4" shelf pin holes, the Link always uses the 1/4" drill bit and not the 1/4" router bit. There must be some...

Re: Drilling operations on part editor geometry

Scott,

Daniel has been looking into this for me. He has the exports and hsf file for my drawer boxes. If you can't get them from him I can send them to you.

Re: Drilling operations on part editor geometry

Scott, Tried that and it doesn't work. Seems it goes back to the Part Editor in eCabs. If you great a cut geometry, it will come thru as a part that needs to be routed, not drilled. I would like the concealed drawer slide holes on the backs of my drawer boxes to be drilled, not routed. How would I c...

Drilling operations on part editor geometry

I have created 5mm holes for concealed drawer slides on the backs of my drawer boxes with the part editor.

Is there a way to get the Shopbot Link to recognized these are 5mm holes and use a 5mm drill to punch them in the drawer box parts instead of needing a router bit to make the holes?

Standardize multiple selections throughout the software

As I go thru eCabs, I find that when I want to select multiple things, how to do that varies in different areas of the software. For example, in the LDE, you don't have to use shift or ctrl with the left arrow click to select multiple parts. In other editors, you use shift+left button and others you...

Re: Just out of curiosity

Thanks Scott. Either that one didn't make it in, or I'm doing something wrong when I change the opening size for faceframe components. I click on the opening and then adjust the bottom and that's when I get the dialog box stating that doors and drawers will be removed to accommodate the changes. May...

Just out of curiosity

When I move a faceframe rail or stile, all the drawers/doors that touch that part are removed from the cabinet. Why is that? Can't they be resized when the faceframe openings are adjusted?

Just wondering.

Re: Nesting warning

Ok. I guess I used eCabs to much yesterday and it got really tired. Today I can edgeband the shelves in this cabinet and it nests just fine. I guess I will need to give eCabs a couple of coffee breaks and a lunch break during the day so it can rest.... :D :D I've attached the cabinet with the shelve...
