Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout

When you are in custom layout go to preferences and settings standard dimensions and check that you have your base cabinet mounting height correct. I was having the same problem a while back. One of the things that I did not relalize is that toe kicks are treated like cabinets and are also placed at...

Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout

In elevation view if you highlight a single cabinet a menu appears on the left side of the screen. That menu has things like top , bottom, left right. you can simply input the numbers and the cabinet adjusts. If you have trouble placing it over a toe kick make sure that the toe kick is at the proper...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

Just a note on other software. I used to use a different product for design and sales and it worked well but did not do the work that I can do with Ecabinets. It was much quicker to do a layout but again the custom building business created the need for many workarounds as well. It did not do the ki...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

To paraphrase an anecdote sent by a friend," there are unlimited opportuniites to learn a lesson until the lesson is learned". In dealing with customers I used to use a standard checklist of all of the items that had been asked for from my different customers, such as built in cuting board...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

Thank you for the feedback. I suspect that a faster processor might require a different motherboard and different memory. Would a larger graphics card do much? Would the investment save a significant amount of time in anyone's opinion and if so would you share your opinion as to what might be a good...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

Good morning , In staying with the theme of streamlining office processes can anyone recomend a hardware configuration that will improve rendering performance or at least speed up the process by settings adjustments. I currenty have a core i5 4670k processor running 3.4 GHz, 16 gigs of 1600MHz ram, ...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs

Scott, You are correct, -- they do not resize. When I changed the center opening to 36" the left opening remained the same asit was and the right side reduced accordingly. it modified the frame but did not change the cabinets behind the frame. When I went back to the frame editor after going to...

Re: Importing hardware, moldings, wood components, etc

If you can, subscribe to the online training videos from Thermwood, there is a video that describes how to import images into Ecabinets. It costs around 25.00/ month to subscribe and you can cancel anytime. It is well worth taking a look. The videos take you through all aspects of Ecabinets, they ar...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs

Good afternoon Scott, I simply took the cabinet that you created, made the changes to the faceframe as per my preferences and changed the width of the cabinet. I made it six inches wider and it resized and equalized all the openings automatically and without issue. Perhaps something in the cabinets ...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs

Looks good Scott, The only thing I might have done has to do with my own preferences for construction. I would have made the mid style/mullions twice as wide as the outside stiles and I would have run them from top rail to bottom rail putting the drawer rails between them rather than running the dra...

Re: eCabinet Productivity

Something as simple as "Print assembly sheets" followed by hit the print button sounds a bit like a " wish list" item. I am considering hiring someone (Scott if he has time and I can afford his rate :D ) to do some work with excel to create a simple macro which when I export my c...

Jeremy,
I misread your post and chose max distance instead of max edge. My apologies. Here is my new pic.

Here is my picture. the only difference that I see is that you are using metric rather than imperial.

Re: Transposed edges in drw box designer

Jeremy,
I loaded standard drawer and followed your instructions. The right and left edges were affected as they were expected to be. What issue are you having?
