Re: Room designer wall height

Donald, you are correct. Wall heights are changed in the wall edit "D" area. When you change the wall height on the main room layout page it only affects future walls to be built.

Using the f/x editor

Can someone enlighten me as to its purpose. I have been trying to figure out a way to lock the width of a fixed shelf to 4" for example no matter the cabinet depth but haven't figured out a way

Option for corner cabinetry

What are some options for designing corner cabinets. Ecabs is just so restrictive when it comes to corners. No partitions, no stretchers. two quick examples are a base corner cab that I want to install deck sleepers. or an upper with no rear corner gap on the exterior design but I dont want a inside...

Re: Change Cabinet numbers?

I notice the software avoids assemblies altogether. Have to manually place a note in custom layout.

Change Cabinet numbers?

Anyone know if it's possible to change the numbering of cabinets in a room. Ecabs numbers the cabinets as they are placed in a room but sometimes a room is designed in an odd sequence or a cabinet is removed and replaced with another after the initial design. You often end up with wall (A) having ba...

Re: Cutting a profile on the other edge

I'll post jpeg's of the cabinet and tool. I want to profile the piece on the right side of what would be a fireplace opening. The left side and top have been profiled.

Cutting a profile on the other edge

I know I have done this before but cant seem to figure it out today. I have two stretchers, one left, one right. I cut a profile on the inside edge of the left stretcher. Now i need to cut same profile on the inside edge of the right stretcher but the tool profile i created in ecabs is not symetrica...

Re: Double door reveals

Forrest has a good solution. When I have the situation you describe I always just make the reveal settings so the reveal total is first calculated and then divide equally (divide by 3 in your double door case). This is so both doors are the same width and only their location on the cabinet is slight...

Best way to handle the staircase opening from the attic to 2nd floor

Turning an attic into bedroom with large number of built-ins, custom bed etc. How would you handle the floor opening/stairs. I can only think to create a railing/knee wall around the location of the openings. Use a display cube to simulate an opening in the floor??
