Re: Moving a wall in room editor

Donald, I don't think you can move them together but select the wall and then mouse over both ends of that wall and a blue node will appear. Click on the blue node on each end and it will turn red. Now set the Object Move increment to the distance you want to move the wall and press the shift key an...

Marco,

You can create a tool in eCabinets and profile your part then cut it using Profile Modeler.

Re: rotating drawn lines in part editor

Chris,

You are still using the vertical line to mirror .

Draw the 45 degree line

Select your box that you want to rotate using select chain

Click on the mirror option and choose Line

Now click on the 45 degree angle line you just drew to mirror to it.

Your box will rotate.

Re: Ecabs doesn't recognize mid stile once a cab is saved

Carmen, The Shelf partition editor does not see face frame parts so if you add a mid stile in the FF editor it will not be recognized in the Shelf Partition editor. The Shelf partition editor only sees openings created by shelves and partitions. You can associate a partition or shelf to a mid stile ...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?

Greg, Your face frame components must remain constant. They determine the size of the cabinet wall to wall. In your scenario you design your boxes at 3/4" thickness and butt them tight behind the 1 1/2" stile. When the software adjusts for thickness it will shrink each box behind the face ...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?

Greg, On a face frame cabinet, the face frame is the constant. It defines the width and height of the cabinet. When you change material thickness while writing the TWD the software grows or shrinks every component of the box to adjust for this change in thickness. If your box sides are flush with the...

Re: Associations

Carmen, To do what you want just use an up down stretcher to make your filler. You can use the advanced associations to make it easier to place. The downside is the fact you have to take the cabinet to the Cabinet Editor to change the filler. We use cabinets as fillers as you mentioned above. The ca...

Re: Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet

Greg,
The hinge holes in the door will only show on Slab and MDF Doors. They will not show on 5 piece doors.
By the same token the hole pattern will not show on the face frame.
If you bring your box side flush with the inside of the face frame the hole pattern will show on the box.

Re: Associations

Carmen,

You just save the two cabinets as an assembly.

In the Cabinet Editor click Save then in the save dialog check the Save Assembly button. Everything open in the cabinet editor at that time will be saved as an assembly.

Re: eCabinet Productivity

My premise when I started this thread was that eCabinets is what it is and instead of wishing for the software to change I would look for better ways to use the existing software. At this time the Office is the constraint in our production so I am trying to improve procedures to get the jobs, with c...

Re: Hinge hole patterns not appearing in cabinet

First, check your hole patterns in the hole pattern editor and see what the Negative depth is. You have to enter either a positive or negative depth to tell the software which way the hole goes.

Re: French Cleat - how to edge profile a stretcher

Greg, If you want to cut the part on a router you will probably need to create a v-bit tool and profile the edge in the part editor. You would then need to set up that tool in the Profile Modeler at the control. You can use the same process if you just want it for display purposes but you will proba...
