Re: Question on Cutlist Area Calculation

Rachel, Looks to be a bug on our end. I'll pass it along to the software engineers. If you take the value you are receiving for total area calculation and multiply by 25.4 that should get you pretty close. It was working in that scenario of taking the Std Upper Frameless, removing all parts except t...

Re: THM sync on Win XP control

Ah yes the ever elusive ProgramData folder. If it makes your life easier in the future, where you typed in ProgramData to get there, you can copy the directory path into it. So highlight from previous post, CTRL+C, go to File Explorer, click in the bar once, and CTRL+V. Press enter and it takes you ...

Re: THM sync on Win XP control

Thanks Clint. That mostly worked. Control Nesting now has all the proper settings, but the tools and machine variables still show all the default values. Do they perhaps need to go in a different directory? I tried putting toolman.thm in a subdirectory called "system", but that didn't wor...

Re: THM sync on Win XP control

Jeremy, Talking to the software engineers, you were correct in that it requires SP3. We did have machines that went out on SP3, however you'd be more on your own to find the correct update to get you to SP3. I'd recommend against it, lots of potential to mess stuff up. If the software engineers were...

Re: Purpose of locked openings

Okay Thanks Clint. The cabinet I posted was from Ecabs. My question was that I didn't know how to import posted cabinets from this forum into ecabs as a cabinet that could be edited or just simply viewed as any other cabinet that was originally constructed within ecabs. For example the cabinet I po...

Re: Predrill for dado

Nicholas,

If you don't want it to interrupt the dado, it will have to be manually added in via Part Editor. If it can interrupt the dado you can make a custom KD pattern to make through drill holes and use the Lock Dado construction method.

Re: Purpose of locked openings

Carmen, I see what you are seeing with the cabinet. It looks like there is something most likely broken with the cabinet itself and how it is recognizing the openings. It is wrong with the cabinet in it's basic state before changing the size. If you hide the right stile and zoom in real tight on the...

Re: Predrill for dado

Nicholas,

Do you want the screw holes to interrupt the dado, or just want them in addition to the dado?

You can contact Pat Dauby for pricing and information. (812)937-4476 ext 217, or email at PNDauby@thermwood.com.

Re: Cutlist Save/open button

Wondering if there has been any movement on this. It seems like MS has washed their hands of the problem, the tech support that I contacted @ MS had narrowed the problem down to a likely bum reference in ECabS. Is someone still pursuing the fix for this? Do you have your updates for Windows turned ...

You can try going into Settings of Control Nesting and choosing the Clean button. That may get it corrected. See screenshot below.

Go to Construction Settings of your part, and choose Construction Parameters. Dado insets are located there.

Re: Vanity cabinet with Open Bottom

You'll probably have to create a dummy stretcher from left to right first so you can get a front to back stretcher in. You can set the dummy one as a phantom part so it doesn't show up on cut list or go to CNC.

Re: control nesting bug involving square off fall

Thomas,

Got it sorry. Helps if I read your post better. Missed the part where you said go to Edit, rather than going into Settings, then Nesting Parameters. Sorry for wasting some of your time. We will get it listed and fixed.

Re: control nesting bug involving square off fall

Thomas,

Can you post an export from Control Nesting? Mine seems to be operating correctly so I'd like to see what settings you have different than I do.
