Re: Shopbot Link approaching almost 3.5 years since last update

It appears that Clint isn't getting my exports and I'm not certain why. At this point it appears that there are a few bugs that need to be fixed, one I ran into this am is that it seems to ignore nesting in the x and y. I clicked y and it nested x. I don't use tabs nor pocket holes so I didn't chec...

Re: Solid glass door

Don, You can create a door to the thickness you would like, then select it, click File, then Export Selection. This will export that part as an .hsf file. This file can be brought into the Display Part Editor, changed to transparent, and colors modified to make it look like tinted glass. Then saved ...

Re: Exporting eCabinet files for other CNCs

If you ask Thermwood they may be able to supply Thermwood owners in your area? Regards Neville In regards to to this post, we will not give out any company's information without their permission to do so. To eliminate the need for us to keep a list of business names around to give out, we created t...

Re: Exporting eCabinet files for other CNCs

ECabinets will only output a .twd file to be read by a Thermwood router, or a ShopBot with the purchased link.

Re: Bug in stretcher editor?

Definitely a glitch in the editor. Something to do with the order in which setting are changed. I took a previously designed cabinet, eliminated the partitions due to the reduced cabinet width ( and thus had to redo the fixed shelves), then added the fixed shelves back in. The phantom "stretch...

Re: Shopbot Link approaching almost 3.5 years since last update

Would it be possible to add the option 'No Drillings' similar to 'No Outline Cuts'? From time to time I've had to stop the machine mid sheet (broken bit, glitch etc), and in order to continue needed to run the entire sheet again. Where many of our parts have full line boring, and the drilling is do...

Re: Shopbot Link approaching almost 3.5 years since last update

Donald,

This is beta version available for anyone. We don't have a ShopBot here to test with so the new features and fixes haven't been fully proofed yet. The code looks correct, but we don't have any way to perform test cuts.

Re: standard outline cutter on MDF material

hi clint, i understand that if its not set in tooling it uses the default tooling group, but ive added a job with a completely new colour and havent put it in any tooling group so should use default group and the default is set to use 12.6 but uses 9.56 instead. i have no issues with how to use the...

Re: standard outline cutter on MDF material

our Mel 16 Pbd HMR is a thickness of 16.25mm could the machine possibly think because the material loaded is also 16.25mm it puts it under the Mel 16 Pbd HMR? we have the Mel in a tooling group. Chris, Control Nesting sorts materials based on the name of the material. The name of the material can b...

Re: control upgrade

For those using a machine with Windows XP, we are beginning now to create two separate releases. One for those with XP, and one for those without. David has tried the XP version on his machine with success, but I would like feedback from others if they experience an issue with the install not workin...

Re: control upgrade

The last few CN updates won't install on my CS41 either, if I just double-click on the installer file. Probably something to do with it having WinXP on it. You can install it from the command line, however. Open a DOS window (click start, Run, then type CMD) and navigate to the directory with CN in...

Re: Best way to handle the staircase opening from the attic to 2nd floor

Carmen, Here is a link to another thread that has a downloadable .stl for a staircase. You'll have to load each piece into the Display Part Editor and modify textures for each piece. http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11978&p=63939&hilit=stairs#p63939 Here's a couple pic...

Re: random E stops

Thomas, The next most likely thing to do is adjust the drawbar switch. It is located behind a cover on the spindle and labeled with a #1. The sensor has a lock nut and an adjustment screw that is on an eccentric. Loosen the locknut and adjust the screw until the input turns off on the input/output s...
