Re: standard outline cutter on MDF material

hi clint, i understand that if its not set in tooling it uses the default tooling group, but ive added a job with a completely new colour and havent put it in any tooling group so should use default group and the default is set to use 12.6 but uses 9.56 instead. i have no issues with how to use the...

Re: standard outline cutter on MDF material

our Mel 16 Pbd HMR is a thickness of 16.25mm could the machine possibly think because the material loaded is also 16.25mm it puts it under the Mel 16 Pbd HMR? we have the Mel in a tooling group. Chris, Control Nesting sorts materials based on the name of the material. The name of the material can b...

Re: control upgrade

For those using a machine with Windows XP, we are beginning now to create two separate releases. One for those with XP, and one for those without. David has tried the XP version on his machine with success, but I would like feedback from others if they experience an issue with the install not workin...

Re: control upgrade

The last few CN updates won't install on my CS41 either, if I just double-click on the installer file. Probably something to do with it having WinXP on it. You can install it from the command line, however. Open a DOS window (click start, Run, then type CMD) and navigate to the directory with CN in...

Re: Best way to handle the staircase opening from the attic to 2nd floor

Carmen, Here is a link to another thread that has a downloadable .stl for a staircase. You'll have to load each piece into the Display Part Editor and modify textures for each piece. http://www.thermwood.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11978&p=63939&hilit=stairs#p63939 Here's a couple pic...

Re: random E stops

Thomas, The next most likely thing to do is adjust the drawbar switch. It is located behind a cover on the spindle and labeled with a #1. The sensor has a lock nut and an adjustment screw that is on an eccentric. Loosen the locknut and adjust the screw until the input turns off on the input/output s...

Re: random E stops

Thomas, A few things to try and possible issues. The first thing to try is to see if its a tool holder issue. If it seems like the issue is happening with the same tool holder every time that could point to the issue. If it isn't tool holder related, then next possible issue is the drawbar switch ne...

Re: random E stops

Thomas, When it goes into e-stop, go to Maintenance, PLC, PLC Screen and see if there is an error message displayed. And when you say upper left, do you mean where the spindle homes at? Everyone defines upper/lower and left/right differently so just want to clarify. My first thought is that it is tr...

Re: Min Pocket Leftover area for outline

Kyle, The only way I could think to get it to do what you want is if in CV you can do the side without a toe kick notch. Then cut the notch with a pocket, but you have to leave some skin behind, usually around .005" will work. The skin is needed because if it is a through cut, it will become pa...

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43

Unfortunately Kerry, we have little to nothing here for Cabinet Vision. I was there with Kyle trying to get something figured out, but Cabinet Vision isn't too forthcoming with support.

Re: Corner Cabinet

Audrey, Can you send the cabinet you are working with to cabinets@thermwood.com so I can take a look at it? If it were me making a blind corner back, I probably would just use a lower cabinet and add parts as needed rather than use a corner cabinet. I haven't designed any myself with it, so there ma...

Re: Screen print - versus using the camera in LDE

This is a bug we have been notified of via email (so not a thread on here if you are looking for one; that I know of at least). It functions correctly in 6.1, but not in 6.1.1. It should be corrected in the next release. If you do as Ralph suggests, you can go to file and print, and everything will ...

Re: Face frame editor missing Mid Float

Ted,

Mid rail float has been replaced by Associations. You can associate a shelf or partition from both the shelf and partition editor and face frame editor. This way when a mid rail or mid stile is moved, the shelf or partition moves with it.
