Re: Cut-out instead of pocket

Dan, This may or may not have anything to do with your pocketing issue but... From one of your screen captures, it looks like you are still using Control Nesting 5.93 . That version was from August of 2016 and was available prior to the latest eCabinet Systems 6.1.2/6.1.3 release. Since some of the ...

Re: Frameless Corner Cabinet with Angled Front

Nat, As I said - the programmers did an outstanding job and in this instance gave us all the "ultimate". Unfortunately, they did not add a automatic way of "dumbing it down" for a simpler look. If we do get the option, i I would imagine that it would be based on the "Mitered...

Re: Frameless Corner Cabinet with Angled Front

Nat, I believe that the development team assumed that these front edges of the angled corner cabinet sides would ALWAYS be manually mitered. The "extra" materiel left is calculated based on the materiel thickness and the actual angle of the front face. This is an elegant feature that I am ...

Re: sheet diagrams out of order

I will guess that the sorting is alphabetical . Sheet 1 Sheet 10 Sheet 11 Sheet 12 Sheet 13 Sheet 14 Sheet 15 Sheet 16 Sheet 17 Sheet 18 Sheet 19 Sheet 2 Sheet 20 Sheet 21 Sheet 22 Sheet 23 Sheet 24 Sheet 25 : Similar to how Windows sorts file names. That is why many developers will name their files...

Re: Control Nesting 5.95 PSA FOR METRIC USERS

Larry, Perhaps those "(in/min)" should not be removed per say. Instead, perhaps they should reflect the MACHINE UNITS - as a reminder to the operator as to what unit type is expected. So if the machine is configured in IMPERIAL, then display "(in/min)" or if METRIC, then "(m...

Re: nesting off fall and added sheets automatically?

John, I do not believe so. As I understand it... It is assumed that all of the OFF-FALLS recorded by Control Nesting may not necessarily be available. This situation of an "AWAL OFF-FALL" is possible because some other area of the shop may have taken the OFF-FALL and used it in a manual pr...

Re: error

Josh... Why two out of three worked (or appeared to work - Depending on the direction, the first "lobe" was starting out on the correct spot since the straight line and the first arc had an actual intersection during the compensation calculations. Therefore the INCREMENTAL ARC CENTER (defi...

Re: error

Josh,

Your issue is because of the lack of arc intersections when cutter compensation is applied. See the images to review the issue and the fix.

Re: DXFs Won't Nest. No Current Record error displayed

Kyle, I took a look at them and it seems there is something particular to the "F" operations - the geometry associated with the "r64f####.dxf" files. Just to check.. In the MACHINE CATALOG - Do you have the the following settings? DXF - Geometry ⋅ Break Polylines... YES...

Re: CS 43 error

Our Service Group here at CNC Automation worked through some triage with the client yesterday and apparently it looks like a 24v power supply issue. The Service Group advised me that the parts are on order and on there way to the client.

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43

Yes... it would probably be best to go through Clint so that the general software support link is maintained.

I am sure that if anyone does request the documentation from him, he will advise them of any updates/revisions.

Canada Day holiday up here tomorrow.

Have a great July 4th weekend!

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43

Great! Thanks for that information/feedback Kyle. I will add a note in our documentation about assigning a different texture to each face. I will also be adding a couple of notes concerning the tooling definitions that can help minimize things like SHEAR VARIANCE warnings when processing the job in ...

Re: Cabinet Vision DXF to Model 43

Kyle, " Face Dependant " information SHOULD be preserved for " Single Sided " ( SS ) materials... Since CV always places " INNER " machining operations " Face Up " in the DXFs, the assumption is that the standard " OUTER " surface ( the "B"...

Re: Min Pocket Leftover area for outline

Kyle,

As far as I know... no - the "Min Pocket Leftover" applies only to POCKET operations and not to OUTLINEs.
