Re: Mobile Island

Is that a handle or a cutting board above the drawer? I built one for a retired couple a while back they slide there meals from the counter onto it then wheel it into the dining room to the table. No more carrying hot heavy pans and dishes. They are very happy with it. I am about to build another on...

Re: Layout question

You can also rotate the page from portrait to landscape and vice versa from the "file" "print setup" menu. I have mine set on landscape all the time.

Door changing size

I have an angled upper corner cabinet with two doors, upper and lower, the upper door maintains it's size with the proper overlays but the lower door does not. When I add the door it correctly sizes it but when I go to the main area from the door area the overlays vanish and the door resizes itself....

Re: Need Help

I think edge profiling an cut piece is something the program can not do. Not 100% sure though.

Re: Need Help

Is this what you wanted? Create a display board 25 x 3, take to part editor, go to contour mode, use the line to trace the straight lines, then the three point arc to draw the arc, go back to part editor, right click and choose create part using closed contour, click the tracing to highlight it gree...

Cutlists and Excel

I hope I am not recreating the wheel but here is what I learned today. After exporting a cutlist to excel I end up with a hidden apostrophe in front of each cell that contains data. I understand why it is there and after searching the forums I found a fix to remove the apostrophe. However this did n...

Gary

I believe you need to have some additional software that can convert the files to stl. I'm not sure what software of were to get it either. Maybe to a google search for "dwg to stl" and see what hits you come up with.

Re: Corner Sink Bases

Here is the cabinet. A 32 in sink fit in the cabinet. We did have to trim the walls near the face frame but we did not get into the adjacent cabinets, although it looked like we were going to because the flange on the sink was much wider in the corner. Let me know if this was the information you wer...

Here is a corner cab I did not long ago. The sink is not shown but it sits in the angled portion next to the dishwasher.

Re: Making a Bid

Gary I would eat $1,500 if I made a mistake. But only if my bid had not expired and the customer had not made any changes. As I said in my post, I have made mistakes that have been caught by going over the job again due to the customers changes. I correct the mistakes and move on. I sincerely apolog...

Re: Making a Bid

Gary, I don't use the PW at all, I tried and thought I could make it work but it was more hassle than it was worth. I nest all the parts then print the cut list and use an excel spreadsheet to figure it all out. Far be it from me to tell another man how to run his business. But if I gave a client a ...

Re: Program shut down with now message

I have found that it is when I change the width of the left and/or right stiles is when it shuts down. I thought it might be because I have edited and applied constraints to the mid rail. When I removed the editing of the mid rail it still shuts down. EDIT I had to remove the offending rail and add ...

Program shut down with now message

After editing a cabinet on this job and returning to the main area ecabinets just shut down like turning off a light switch. What gives, it did not give me an error message or warning or anything. This happened twice on the same job at the same point. I am editing the middle cabinet to fit between t...
