Re: Cabinet top with a door in it ?

Thank you very much for the pics and cab files, George. I guess I still don't understand uploading/downloading usable files. The files are there but I can't quite figure out where to put them so that they open properly with eCab. I better go back to the how-to instructions... BTW the one you made up...

Re: Cabinet top with a door in it ?

Yes,George, that's pretty much what I'm trying to do. I finally used a modified FF for the top - only way I could figure to place a "door" in it. And my cabinet isn't deep enough for equip in front (your drop-down drawer front), so I put in a separator panel (using Kerry's up-down stretche...

Re: How to add a left-right partition?

Thanks once again, Kerry. That worked just like you said. I wasn't thinking about using the stretcher up-down - need to think "outside the box" more often. I did have one problem, though. I had to take off my made-up face-frame top and put on a "real" top to define the top end of...

Cabinet top with a door in it ?

Need to place a hinged panel in a cabinet top for a pop-up. Essentially an inset flat door cut into the middle of the top. Suggestions on how to do it / show it in eCab ? Be nice if the door/panel could be rotated for display purposes..... In this one the opening needs to start 3/4" off the bac...

Re: OK now what

Gary I think you have to "Batch" the cabinets into a job then create the cutlist from the batch. Especially if you used two copies of the same cabinet to set up the room

Re: How to add a left-right partition?

Thanks, Kerry. Using a stretcher worked to get the panel in place. I wanted to keep it inset from the left and right end panels, to allow for the pocket slides and doors to go past it - can I make cutouts in the sides of the "stretcher" with the part editor? If I slice a couple of inches o...

How to add a left-right partition?

I want to add a left-right partition aprox midway between the front and back, to create a sort of "false back" closing off a rear compartment. I already used the "Back" to close the real back of the cabinet, so I can't use it with a big inset. :? This is for a pop-up TV cabinet; ...

Re: OT Molding search

Peter, as you have ordered from Walzcraft they will presumably send you the full catalog and color brochure. (If they don't, ask for them) You will be amazed at the stuff they have. Makes Conestoga look silly (at least based on what's linked to eCab) Too bad they won't do a deal thru eCab, bu...

More simply than that, Dan, it means you are willing to LOOK for an answer and not take the "not my job" attitude.
I join the others in thanking you , and respecting you, for that.

Re: Drawer head sizing

Todd The fixed shelf did it for me. I needed it there in order to place the partition between the two drawers, which I need because I'm using side-mount drawer slides. And this is a furniture cabinet base in a TV wall group, so I usually like to have some sort of separator or dust panel there anyway...

OK, George: what came first, the real one or your e-Cab jpg ?

From the amount of stuff you post, doing eCab renderings must be your primary occupation . :?:

Exactly right, Damon. Seems the process of defining the question and reading it spotlights the problem. It really DID feel like a litebulb going on....I could almst see the (!) there.

Re: Vista Ultimate

Dan may be on the right track, based on this excerpt from an independent online Windows newsletter I subscribe to; Quote On our inaugural 64-bit Vista machine, our line-of-business applications and printers were deployed without a hitch. The trick for us was to open the System Configuration utility ...
