Re: Change Material on Default Door and Drawer?
One thing that I did notice now is that you can select all the doors and drawer fronts on a cabinet and texture match them to the box material. I don't think that was available before -- but I haven't sued that in a while.

Re: New user wondering if ecab can perform a certain functio
As someone else noted -- take the online training for a month and when you follow the vids you will learn a lot quicker. It's worth the few dollars that it costs. It won't take long to learn enough to use it and then you keep learning every day from then on. LOL. Don't be afraid to ask questions her...

Re: New user wondering if ecab can perform a certain functio
Thanks Scott, just knowing that it will do what I need is a the key knowledge I needed. I didn't want to invest a lot of time into a program only to find out it couldn't work for my shop. Time to jump in. Hey Stephan -- I have been using ECabs for many years now without a CNC and started just the w...

Re: render mode
I find the best way is to RENDER then COPY then PASTE to IRFANVIEW and then crop and review image and colors and save. Just another way to do it without changing everything. I do my line drawings like that too!!

Re: Build 14
I must have been half asleep or something when I was doing this. LOL. I was in stretcher settings not top stretcher and it was not supposed to have any toe kick. I just went and tried it again and everything worked fine. Thanks Scott sorry for the trouble.

Re: Build 14
I opened this cabinet --
and changed the dimensions to the ones in the boxes and also changed the stretchers to 6" and then while in main I saved it. Then I got the dimensions that I highlighted and no change in the stretcher.- Sun, May 11 2014, 11:24PM

Build 14
I have updated and there are problems. Here is a pic of a cabinet that I was trying to alter and it won't do it. I made the stretchers 6" wide instead of 3" and resized but they don't change. I have closed opened and saved but it doesn't change.

You have to pick the single edge at the bottom of the Part Editor screen --
You should look into the Learning Videos for $25 a month -- they would really help you along.

Re: Can't get my cabinets to rest on floor?
If the cabinet is not a base cab then you can Highlight the cab and set your PLACE MODE to FREESTYLE and use your SHIFT button and Arrows to move it up or down. FWIW.Dennis Englert wrote:Make sure that the cabinet you are trying to replace is a "Base" cabinet. Dennis

Re: Grain Direction
Try switching your height and width measurements.
Forget it it doesn't work !! Maybe add an image with the grain going the other way and create a new sheet stock with that image.

Re: General Concept of eCabinets
Yes you do but you can't change the joinery in the room setting. Most people build their different Library's of cabinets and then you have the different cabinets to pull from. This takes some time at first but after you do it pays off.
