It has become obvious that no one uses this method. Does anyone that cuts casework for framed cabinets had a method (general or workaround) to "get the job done"? I am set to cut a few test cabs over the weekend, am not sure what will work, and am looking for options.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Anyone using Dados on Face Frames?
Kenneth... Thanks for the reply, and correct me if I am wrong, but won't that percentage based dado parameter change when I save the TWD and adjust for exact material thickness? Nor does there seem to be a method that allows .25 deep dados for face frames and deeper (.375) for case components. I hav...

Anyone using Dados on Face Frames?
Hey Guys.... Thanks in advance for any info. Here is the setup: Tall Armoire type bedroom furniture. 3/4" tops, sides, bottoms & shelves/stretchers. Blind dado construction. 1/2" backs slid into full dado. 3/4 by 1 1/2 solid face frames with 1/2" wide dado, 1/4" deep, 1/4"...

Re: Add Blind Dado to Stretcher?
Kerry... Due to the rotation of a "normal" stretcher, I guess that I can understand how the "front" settings can toggle the blind dado on what I consider the top of the part. Why is it that in order to change the tenon placement of this tenon dado, the back tenon left and right s...

Thanks, but that was the setting that I had for the stretcher. Here is the cabinet, let me know what I messed up this time!

Nick...
Thanks for the reply and sorry for posting in the Lounge. I have tried every variation, and do have the top set to blind dado, but for some reason with a 1 1/2" stretcher, it doesnt seem to work. I will try a few more times or redesign.

Add Blind Dado to Stretcher?
I am trying to add a light valance below the deck on a wall cabinet. It seems that when a stretcher in the vertical orientation I am not able to use a blind dado to the joint between the valance and the deck. Dados are placed on the ends as expected. Anyone have an idea what I am missing? Thanks in ...

Re: Shopbot link and restarting file
Mark.. You are correct, if you are using the SB toolchanger files, the C7 only turns the spindle off. Newer versions of the SB3 software reset offsets automatically. I have left this in my versions, and that is what Roger was referring to. As he noted above, the selected tool X,Y and Z offsets, if a...

Re: Shopbot link and restarting file
Marc... A couple additions to Roger's comments: You can add the tool name and/or number to a "PRINT" command for each tool change. My early toolchanger files had this, but I was not able to get the print screen to stay resized in a location that didnt cover something else, so I removed the...

Sherwin Williams owns them both along with many others. MLC techs can also mix all SW OEM stain and/or paint colors along with Benjamin Moore, which they dont own.

Re: SB Link Tenon Dado Cut Direction
Larry... Thank you for the explanation... and the ever improving software. I finally READ the poertion of the manual pertaining to the tool order. Your last post and another from today finally made me understand that it was the operation numbers, not tool numbers that make the difference. Nat also s...

Re: SB Link Tenon Dado Cut Direction
I've received emails concerning the tool order selection criteria. I am not aware of much documentation on this subject. For Staff, Is there any available, possibly on the Thermwood controller? The tool numbering order that I set up in the beginning did not take tool selection into consideration. Th...

Re: SB Link Tenon Dado Cut Direction
Larry... Thank You for the excellent service. The "overcut" that I get is about equal to the side clearance I would select. Having pockets and IS profile dados cut in the same direction will go a long way towards consistency. Another issue that I noticed today was that PE cuts seem to cut ...
