Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

Don,

You shouldn't need to change the Nesting Corner to get a good result. When I clicked the X Nesting button I got a good result. See image..

FYI... The Nesting Corner can be set in Settings --> Nesting Parameters

Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

Don,

One more note on this. I did get your files to reproduce this nest. It does only occur in the Y Direction nest. It also appears that if I implement the Cut Line nesting option you get better results. It will be available in the next update.

Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

This result is due the direction that the sheet gets filled. I'm guessing you selected Y direction. This results in Part 4, in your case, getting stuck at the odd location because it can get lower. I have found that this slight fit is due to the True Shape nesting. We do have an option for Cut Line ...

Re: ShopBot Link nesting effectiveness

Hi Don. Did you try nesting in both X and Y? The nesting algorithm provides ample scope for a human being to establish his supremacy over a computer program. Manual nesting could yield better results for very small orders. However, for a reasonably big job, containing a good mix of big and small par...

Re: What the hell happened to my SIX KITCHENS!

Hi Jason. I am sorry to report that your data is missing and cannot be retrieved from this file. We are unaware of how or why this has occurred. At this point, without having a means of reproducing the problem, we can only speculate on what may have happened. I'm guessing that this job was a substan...

Re: Nesting speed

The difference you are seeing is due to processes moved from Write CNC to be performed prior to Nesting. This is actually an improvement in speed for the Write CNC process. In the older version each part that is Nested gets analysed during Write CNC whether or not is actually the same part (due to a...

Re: control nesting 5.48 update

Mohan,

Please create an Export file by clicking the Export button in Control Nesting and post it. Also, please post the TWD with pockets that will not load. You will need to either ZIP the files or change the file extension to attach them.

Re: I can not open the software

Hi George. You should run the latest update after a repair to insure all files are up to date. If it asks you to remove on the first try go ahead and do that. It does this because you have ran the update in the past. Then after the remove, run it again. That should get you going.

Re: Material Library

The correct and "safe" way to do this is to use the Backup/Restore ability with eCabinet Systems. Do a complete Backup on one system then use the Backup Directory from the initial pc as your directory to perform a Restore on your other pc.

Re: Pocket tool

Dave,

I believe this strategy will work nicely with the new pocket tool selection strategy we have planned for a future version. I'll plan to have this integrated with that development. A timeline for it's release is unknown at this time.

Re: Error Messages

If re-running the update fails to solve your problem then you need to use the disc. When you run the disc you SHOULD get a Repair option. After running through all it's processes you will need to go through the process of running the update (Remove then Run) again. Now if that also fails to solve yo...

Re: Error Messages

Remove won't cause you to lose anything. It merely removes the update msi. Go ahead and select Remove. Then when the Remove is complete run it again. It should go through the full update process again.
