Any way to edit dimensions

Any one know if there is some way to overwrite a dimension. I am attempting to avoid having to take the same basic cabinet into LDE for every new job. What I did was create a job out of each individual cabinet in a library. When I pull up the job, drawer base, for example, the shop drawings is alrea...

Re: Purpose of locked openings

Okay Thanks Clint. The cabinet I posted was from Ecabs. My question was that I didn't know how to import posted cabinets from this forum into ecabs as a cabinet that could be edited or just simply viewed as any other cabinet that was originally constructed within ecabs. For example the cabinet I pos...

Re: Purpose of locked openings

While I have your attention would you mind explaining how one goes about importing this hsf file into ecabinets so it can be handled as a cabinet. I know how to import from display part editior but that turns my file into a dispaly part. Yes I'm clueless :?

Re: Purpose of locked openings

Scott I deleted the cabinet yesterday and replaced the partitions with stretchers. Today I used the seed base cabinet from the "Standard Library" and replicated the partitions I was having issues with and all was working fine with opening widths remaining locked upon resizing. So I now cha...

Purpose of locked openings

I assumed the purpose of a locked openings was so partition openings that were locked would remain at a specified distance when resizing a cabinet. Today I build a cab with partitions placed right up against the left and right sides for a cabinet. The opening widths were set to 0" and the openi...

Re: Cutlist Save/open button

Stuart there was a Win 10 feature update recently that I believe may have corrected the problem. I believe it was feature update 1709. If it hasn't installed yet on your system perhaps you could do a search for it and download.

Re: Wire mesh Door panels

JR I did this recently using a frame only door. I then imported a picture of the wire mesh and placed that image on a display cube.Place the cube in the cabinet and you get the effect of a mesh door. Not resizeable but pretty quick to do. I used the image from one of our local suppliers that you can...

Re: Vanity cabinet with Open Bottom

Stretcherss, stretchers and more stretchers. I would utilze the advance settings, most importantly insets #5 and 6. When working on one stretcher set inset #5 to the slat on the left and inset #6 to the slat to the right of the one your currently working on. You will have to addresss each stretcher ...

Tim Thanks. That was a big help! Always thought "add end panel" was my only option of adding a door as an end panel.

Re: Working with End Panels

Tim, I like to make cabinetry that is resizable. I made a library labeled "door only". Basically just a frameless cabinet with no back. Depth of cabinet is set to 1/8" and the sides/top/deck are turned into phantom parts. So now I have a door only which the style of door can be easily...

Working with End Panels

We use a lot of door matching end panels with our face frame cabinetry. I like that ecabs allows me to choose a matching door style end panel and puts it in place. What doesn't work for me is that if my frames have any more than a 3/4" scribe the end panels are always placed right next to the l...

Re: Wall Associations

Donald check to see how many walls the cabinet is associated to. I believe there is a maximum number of walls any individual cabinet can be associated to ( I believe it is three). If that is the case then disassociate from one wall and associate to the desired wall.
