I figured out that I can take a display cube and cut out a pie shape and plug it in the hole, but surly there is an easier way. What would you do if you where cutting the top out of solid surface material on the router?

countertops

If you have two walls that meet at an angle other than 90deg. How do you get the countertops to miter? I can make them square but there is a pie shape missing, or I end up clipping the back corner if I come across with the countertop. I tried putting an extra large overhang on the two adjointing edg...

Ok, I got it figured out , but if I use a curved line, to try and make a crown molding , I can not trim the two lines nor will they extend to connect them.
What do I do in this case :?: :?: :?: (The contour is not closed, straight lines and circles do ok , but not curved)

Thanks,

create tool

It has been awhile since I used this function, but went in and clicked create tool, made my design, turned the shape green to make sure all lines are connected. Saved the file. The proplem is it saves the file as a *x_t and then I can not get them to come up in the shape manager. The other tools I h...

WARNING These parts could not be nested

I am starting to play around with the nesting function. When I build a cabinet or a complete job, it nest most of the parts and then pops up a screen saying these parts could not be nested. Whats up with this, and am I doing something wrong? I am considering purchasing a router soon and trying to ge...

kevin, the drawing as you see it probably took around 30/45 minutes. I don't know how long it would have taken with the additional details, but I would guess maybe another hour or two. Buy the way, alot of us are running our programs on laptops. IMO that is the best way because you can take it with ...

The TV is an older style television with the speakers below the screen. The customer wanted to hide the speakers and make it look more like a plasma flat screen. I have the speakers sitting below the top rail of the lower cab. The lower doors are pocket doors that slide back to either side of the tv...

Hey Kevin. welcome to ecab. Just as Michael said, Yes you can. Most of the time I will give the customer a general idea on the rendering and kind of verbally describe some ideas we can do to enhance the cab. I do not have a router yet, so I do not see the need in putting in every detail. Most of my ...

BLIND CORNER FRAMELESS

I do not normally do frameless cabinets, so I am not up on the does and don'ts with ecab and frameless. If I have a frameless cab with a blind corner, how do you place the door without it trying to size it the entire opening? I placed a verticle stretcher where the blind corner would end so I would ...

Mid Style color match

When I build a cabinet and add a midstyle the color is different. I looked at the settings and the colors are all the same on outer style, top rail, bottom rail, mid style, mid rail, but the mid style shows up a different color. It will not let me match texture. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Damon

yes, that is actually a ceiling fan with the blades removed so we would not bump into it when installing. Its just the angle of the picture that it shows up. It is actually in the center of the room.

Thanks for your input.
