Dan, What made me believe it was implemented were the changes on the Construction Parameter tabs under the dado settings that say: \"The changes only apply to dados CREATED BY THIS PART!\" Also according to the release notes for build 11.... Dado clearances now apply to the dados created b...

Rob,
I would try giving one of the fasteners a Negative inset to move it out of the cabinet.

i.e. for a toe kick change the left and right edge bottom inset to -2\"

Dave

I am using blind dados in a cabinet and cutting them on my router. One cabinet I'm doing has a back that is full dado'd into the sides. In order to change the depth and fit clearance I had to change the blind dado settings for the SIDES not the BACK. This doesn't make sense to me but it worked. Is ...

Fred,
I seem to remember something about a DLL or other such thing you might need on the controller to use excel files. Try saving your excel file as a CSV and importing that.

Warning - DXF users - Nasty bug.

I have had two sheets of material end up in the dumpster from this one. CN 5.07 DXF files Chain compout layer Climb cutting When CN happens to pick a small clockwise arc (any size arc?) portion of the chain to start the cut on, the arc is cut in the counter clockwise; taking a chunk out of the part....

I was having a similar problem with CN using a tool that was too small for some dados (leaving a small strip down the center of the dado unmachined) CN 5.06 I changed the order of my dado operation tools in CN \"Tooling\" to largest to smallest, and all is well. A few extra tool changes, b...

Edgebanding is FUBAR

The customer sent in this file with edgebanding on it. Up until now I've stayed away from that feature because I've had nothing but problems machining edgebanded parts. Now I've got to make it work. Attached is a job that when you change material thickness to .725\" on output to CNC the dados n...

Jason,

I'm still on 4.94. According to the release notes, it looks like this may have been addressed with 5.02.

Dave M.
What version of CN are you running?

This is a bug in the spiral pocket routine. Change your \"step\" to 50% and all will be well.

Rob,
Your issue is a different one. When you change your pocket tool diameter in tool set-up, you need to change it in on the settings page of control nesting too.

It's always been this way.

Sean, If you want to make this happen from eCabinets, I think you'll need to cheat. Here's what I would try: Draw a .30 mm wide dado .30mm from the edge of the part. Create a new tool in tool manager with a diameter of .2mm, set the tool's actuator ID, Actuator position number, tool changer, tool ch...

I would try changing the part outline so there is a very small (.004\") flat side where the chamfer currently meets the other side. i.e. make it a 4 sided part, instead of 3 sides.
