Re: hole pattern for pilot holes for Confirmat screws?
To get it to the center of 5/8 material you need to create a hole in the pattern editor that is x=-5/16 y=0, whatever diameter you want/whatever negative depth you want. You'll then have to apply that new pattern to the part before it will change to the updated version. To get 3 holes on the edge of...

Re: FYI Converting LDE To PDF To DXF
Interesting... but is the pdf vector or an auto-traced raster? Either way I still wouldn't get much use out of LDE but it might be useful for cutting mirrored parts or drawing sections, etc. At this point it doesn't make much sense to not be able to export dxf without having to jump through a bunch ...

Re: Tool Not Found
You need a bigger diameter tool for doing the now increased dado cuts, try setting up a .5 inch tool for rout/dado. To figure out what tool you need divide the final width of the dado operation by 2, if your tool is less than this number you will get an error for dados.

Re: DXF woes... any ideas?
I haven't tried this yet, but if you have autocad there seems to be a lisp routine that can do this.

Other than that I wouldn't want to have to manually fix that many geometries.

Re: Problem with LDE Print Preview?
LDE has always been too buggy to be of any real use for me other than verifying part measurements. For something like what you're trying to draw I'd just do it in Sketchup or Draftsight and have more control over the output. It would be great if Ecabinets would at least let you export 2d drawings to...

Re: part editor release 13
Looks like there is a line connecting the two outline shapes, try deleting it, pocket through the center shape and use profile modeler to create the rebated lip if that's what you're trying to do.

Re: Is there a way to estimate cut time for a job?
There is a program called cut-timer available on the cnc automation site that works for non-3d parts and sheets of parts created in control nesting. I tried the demo and it seemed to be reasonably accurate. It lets you adjust parameters to match your setup as well. Most cam programs have basic time ...

Re: spoil switch and M999, how to access...
Do a file search on the computer for m999, you should find a text file. If you find it you can open it with notepad and edit it and save. You can even create a shortcut to it and pin it to the task bar so it's easy to access.

Check and see if there is a sensor on the pins; I've had one come loose before which sent a false pins up error to the control.

Re: g60l1 code
The g60l1 is some type of input/output code, prob. the pop up pins. The reason it's pausing is prob. because of an m00 code, when you reach that code the machine will pause until you hit the cycle start. I don't think the dash does anything, just a coincidence, the machine started b/c you hit cycle ...

Re: Spindle Speed Problem
The M31 code should prevent this, is it outputting M31 with every tool-change? I have seen one bug that is slightly concerning though, the first tool change changes the rpm value before loading the tool but subsequent tool changes have the rpm value after the tool change, causing the tool to use the...
