Re: Dovetail Drawer settings
I use the default settings...even for the material thickness. Once I'm at the machine, I usually end up having to drop the dovetail tool about .03" to get a good tight fit. The Baltic Birch we get is 9-ply, and undersized by about .03".....which is why I end up dropping the daylight value ...

Re: Cabinet Problem!
I know this won't take care of your problem completely, but if it is doing the pocketing first, you could set it to spiral outside-in with no cleanup amount. Once it pockets the rabbet area, block stop and arrow down to the next Z movement which should be a retract....press start. <Feedrate Override...

Re: 5 piece doors, but no raised panel
Like this door?...it is actually a cabinet though. There are constraints on the back rabbets so you can resize the door. You will need to add these through the assembly editor, instead of the door editor. Also, the top and bottom rail will require a flip operation. Because of such a small part, I mi...

Re: Is eCabinet a closed software architecture?
Currently, we do not offer the ability to write your own plug-ins Will this be a possibility in the near future? What exactly would you like to see added to eCabinets 1-In the drafting mode I would like to have the option to add tick marks instead of arrows to leader line terminators for dimensioni...

If you are wanting to simply Move an item; Highlight the object (single-leftclick) or entire cabinet (double-leftclick) Hold Shift key down while using your arrow keys. You can adjust the increment on the left menu system under 'Move Incr.' field. If you are wanting to align items together, follow J...

Re: File Conversions
First, you want to use the Binary format. What do you mean by they won't work? Just trying to figure out if the issue is with AccuTrans settings or not knowing how to import an STL into eCabs.

Currently, we do not offer the ability to write your own plug-ins, etc. to the software. We DO however, take our members ideas/suggestions/feedback and add them into the software...depending on certain criteria such as popularity, ease, etc. Some ideas can be added fast and easily, while others may ...

Re: Problem Loading Appliance
Your picture above got me thinking. I noticed that your folder view does not show the file extensions. For instance, you only see 'Black' instead of 'Black.jpg'. It is possible to rename a file to have 2 extensions such as 'STOVE.STL.STL' if you cannot see the last one. This will cause the same prob...

Re: Lighting Tips & Tricks
First thing I do is set different shines. On ALL cabinets/furniture I always give them a shine value of 1. Since these pieces will have a natural sheen to them after finishing, this value works well for me anyways. It also deepens the color of the wood. Depending on the floor, I will also give it a ...

Re: 2 Files in NC format....How to change...
Nope. The X and Y shifts will only work with a G901 or G902. It looks like you are using a G52L1. You can either; Change the G52L1 to G901 Or adjust the G52L1 offset and remove the X and Y shift from your program. I would choose the first method as long as your G901 is setup correctly...which I beli...

Re: 2 Files in NC format....How to change...
Typically, you would use your G901 fence location (pop-up pins) in the program. Then add in an Xshift and Yshift commands. This will shift the current G901 location towards HOME by the amount that you specify. Below is a sample if I were using a 4x8 sheet; G90 SET WASTEBOARD=0.2550 G901 SET ZSHIFT=0...
