Pat,
Thanks for the job. I am able to see your slowdown, but cannot yet identify the main issue. I have asked the programmers to review this issue and hope to have a solution soon.
Thanks.

Re: Problem with cost sheet
Derrick, Seems that it is using a different formula for Labor Based over Historical Ratio Calculation methods. I think they should use the same formula. It appears that the formula may be correct, but the summary formula is the guilty spot. I am having it reviewed now and I expect the changes to be ...

Re: speed issues in build 2
Pat, I would love to have a chance to work with you on attempting to figure out what is going on with this. There was an issue with Build1 that resulted in large directories slowing the system down that may be related. No matter what, it seems that if there is an issue here, I would very much like t...

Re: Crashing when Printing from Constraint Manager
John, I am going to need some more information. I am unable to make this crash when printing on my Vista64 machine. So to test further, let me get some details and make some suggestions to try as well. What type of printer is being used? I am using an HP 5SI Laserjet, and that works fine. I also use...

Re: speed issues in build 2
Pat, Sorry you are having this trouble, but I think that there must be something else at play this is hurting your performance this bad. While V6 is slightly slower than Version 5.2, it should in NO way be this much slower. So, I guess we need to do some exploring to see what might be going on. My f...

Re: Making Dowel Rods?
John, By hitting HOME, the screen is centering on the part and Zooming in. If you wish to see this in reference to a cabinet, you will need to have a cabinet in the screen with this dowel. In Autocad, this would be similar to Zoom->Extents. Normally, you would not need to zoom in on such a small par...

Re: Not everything in buy list.
Ben,
Seems like a reasonable request, and possibly a great future addition to the software.
I will add it to the internal wish list.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Script bug in Item window
Bryan, Seems that the first setup (V6Build2Setup1a.exe) did not perform a complete overwrite of the Item Window support files. Since some of the files are not paired with the current version correctly, you are seeing this issue. If you run the current version of the install, I think this problem wil...

Re: Problem with the molding editor
Gary, Is this a cabinet from 5.2 or maybe Beta? I am not seeing this trying to make it from scratch using Standard Cabinets. So, I would try the following to see if you can resolve this issue. From the MAIN section of the Cabinet Editor, Select the cabinet and then rt. click and select Remove Part E...

Re: error message
Craig, Was Version 5.2 installed on G:? Is G: a drive in your system, or an external/Network drive? What I think is happening is that Version 6 is trying to upgrade your previous 5.2 version but is unable to find the necessary parts to complete the data migration. If this is the case, simply insurin...

Re: Crashing when Printing from Constraint Manager
John, I know that we have been fighting printing issues, but I am not seeing this particular problem. I am not saying that there is not a problem, just that with a simple testing, it is not showing its ugly head. Could you please post a simple job or some steps that will reproduce this error. I look...

Re: Error "Invalid Base Path"
Reed, What install program did you use for the update? There was some issues with V6Build2Setup1a.exe that might be at play. Based on the time of your post, you might have still gotten this version. If you have run V6Build2Setup1b.exe , then I will give you some further information on how to correct...

Gary,
Not sure what is causing this, but I can get it to happen more times than not. I will have it listed.
Thanks for pointing out a direct sequence to help show this in detail.

Re: Unable to find installed furniture library
Reed,
I am guessing that this install will need updated. I would check in the OLD 5.2 install location for your machine. By default, that should be as follows:
C:\Program Files\Thermwood\eCabinet Systems\Cabinets
Just a guess. I can check deeper if need be.
