does it make a big differance ?
Hi all, I have a question about the recomended system for ecabs. I have been using a budget system, e-machines duo core 2.66 ,500 or so front side buzz, 2 gigs ram, nvidia geo force 7900 256 megs, the ram and processer speeds are sub par compared to the new stuff. during the first few months the sys...

Re: creating a curved raised panel
Hi Dan, it's been a while. I figured someone out there would chime in. I use this method for vent hood type panels where doors may not work.

Re: Too Few Parameters. Expected 1
Justin, removing and re-installing the update seems to have fixed things. It's a little scary when you see the pop up saying you are about to remove e-cabs and will no longer be able to use the program. So that is only referring to the update, not the whole program! Here is a quick question. ...

Re: Too Few Parameters. Expected 1
I tried to run the repair yesterday and got a messege at the end of the process about some lightware missing something and it would not let me repair, I'll do it again and record the specific error I get when trying to repair.

creating a curved raised panel
I was asked how to do this so I figured it would post here, These are not "regulation e-cab instructions" I am not an instructor, this is how I get it done. Enter at your own risk. In a nut shell this is done in the part editor, I don't have time right now to list all the specific steps, b...

It's been a while
Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted a pick. Here are some e-cab jobs I recently designed and built. When I get the finished job picks I will post those as well.

Too Few Parameters. Expected 1
When I try to close E-cabs I get this error " Too Few Parameters. Exspected 1 ". E-Cabs V5.2 will not close in a normal way. Any ideas? I was also having some freezing issues a few post down, and the known syntax error, and the crazy negative number deal someone else posted about, A few ot...

After playing with this thing all day and no luck, I turn all the detail levels on everything to full detail. I figured what the heck, nothing else has worked! You got it, it worked and everything seems fine now??? Weird.

Re: Placing Stretchers
you can move the stretcher anywhere you want with the edit stretcher button. But for some reason it won't see the openings as different sections? I have been using a fixed shelf offset from the back of the cab to give the desired depth.

job file freezing V5.2
Please take a look, this file was created in V5.1 and edited in V5.2. I can't do anything with it. I have larger files from V5.1 that run perfect. When it loads it appears much larger than it is (file size) and totally consumes all resources. I had to zip it just to upload, Is it me ? thanks for any...

Re: part editor glitch ?
Dan, here are my system specs from an old post, yes it does appear to be an imaging problem in displaying the textures, but it only happens when exiting the part editor. It doesn't always happen, just seems to do it when I'm on a deadline. Go figure ? Maybe a ghost thanks for the look E-machines T52...

Re: part editor glitch ?
after rebooting my system the problem went away. I noticed this seems to be an intermitant problem for me somtimes it does ok and some times it doesn't, it can happen with a counter or a display cube. Here is the file anyway if you want to have a look.
