Ok, I've got it. I understand how to create the modeled part. Now for the THM Control. I have installed the latest Profile Modeler version. Reading through the manual, and looking through the setup at the control, I see that I can define 3 types of tools, right? A custom tool - which has the defined...

Help with Profile Creator
Hi Everyone, I would like to attempt to make a top mount crown using the profile modeling within eCabs to see how it compares to my other cad/cam performance. Would anyone care to take a look at it and make suggestions on how to proceed? This is the first time I have attempted to use the profile cre...

I'm also experiencing the same thing but not consistently on every job. Of the last 3 jobs that I've designed this week, all had right angle walls. But the last job showed this problem and the other two didn't. I'm not able to determine anything different. I'm using the same library and same procedu...

Todd, That's the one thing I didn't look at. I was so sure (in my feeble mind) that I had selected a fixed shelf. As for the unnecessary x/y traversing...there were alot of wasted time because the control sequenced a square here and there and not in a logical format relative to machine home. Thanks,...

Part Size Error between eCab twd & Rolling Nest
A local supplier asked us to cut some 6x6 samples of melamine for their sales people. I modified a cabinet to have a 6x6 shelf and put it in the batch for qty 130 and created the twd file. This nested a grid of 105, 6x6 squares on one sheet. Here's my observations: 1. Rolling nest didn't use a logic...

Gene, if memory serves, Bob Buckley of True32 fame, suggested this approach. (Pretty sharp guy, btw.) Anyway, I never got around to trying it, although, I really like the idea of not having to manually edgeband the corners. I think I would make the tops solid for both, just to make sure I had the la...

Well, I had typed up a nice reply yesterday afternoon. I had to step away from the computer and like a stooge, came back and closed IE! So, I'm condensing. I agree with Michael that allowing an heirarchy format within the libraries would help streamline and organize that area. I also think that for ...

Constraints - Reducing Design Time
Hi Everyone, I appreciate the effort that Thermwood has put into this software. I don't want to sound ungrateful either. But as I look at our process, from design through installation, design times stand out as a big bottleneck. And that constraint falls squarely on my head. Our market has tightened...

The only way I can see around this issue is to bastardize the wholse setup by making two blocks that are mitered on one edge at a 45* and attach those flush to the face of the cabinet sides. Then mount a 9.5 plate to that at the standard 37mm set back. Then use standard 120* hinges...and hope they d...

45deg Blum Hinge Issue
Hey Everyone, This has nothing to do with eCabs and everything to do with Blum 45 degree clip hinges and door overlay. I want to hear how others are handling this issue. I'm building frameless cabs with 3mm reveals. On 45 degree corner cabinets, the Blum guide says that the door should be 7mm smalle...
