editing dovetail drawers

is there any way to edit a part of a dovetail drawer? we use anti-slam hardware that requires a couple of cutouts in the bottom of the front of the drawer box. is there any way to edit that part so that the machine will cut those out for us? They would be through-cuts about 2 inches wide each, an in...

i have had problems like this in the past. often it is due to the sensor on one of the popup pins not registering the pin as being down. the machine will not opperate if it thinks the popup pins are still up. give the pins a little flick, and if that doesn't work, maybe adjust the sensor a hair (ver...

machines sitting idle? Gasp! I am usually in here 9-10 hours every day running the machine the entire time and still manage to fall behind more often than not... I dream of days to let the machine rest

ok, after some more examination, it turns out that the problem is not with the entire job, but just with the gables for one cabinet in the job... just happens to be the first thing it wants to drill. the rest of the code appears to be alright. so now i am guessing that this is som eproblem in commun...

more on this problem... it appears to be a problem with the version 10 update. a job that was compiled before i updated still runs fine, but the job compiled after the update craps out every time. the \"z axis out of bounds\" is apparently happening because it wants to drill the holes 11.7...

z axis out of bounds???

for some reason today, the router doesn't like me too much. it cut one sheet fine, but as soon as it tries to run the next sheet, i get a \"z axis out of bounds\" error as soon as it tries to drill the first hole. i have done everything i can think of, including deleting the gang-drill fro...

just to be clear, i didn't mean that the blind dado option is un-usable or anything. merely that we have encountered problems with it in comparision with our dowel opperations. and there is no way that the bean-counters here would ever move away from particle board. i do love the fact that i don't h...

i gotta agree with Nick. we tried switching over to the blind dado method for a while, but ran into all sorts of small problems. things like the tenon would be made just a little too loose, or the problem where with the blind dadoes you have no ability to cheat on your clamping time. we found that t...

i get this kind of thing all the time. most often it breaks that thin leg off while it is trying to save it. since it will never nest anything in that little piece anyways, i just break it off and ignore it. just one of those little things that makes me shake my head at the machine.

router is double-drilling

i posted this in the ecabs forum, but after some more thought, figured it might be a problem with the control nesting software. the problem is that some of my holes will get drilled twice. random holes (as far as i can tell) are having the drill drop twice into them in quick succession. i have only ...

just as an update to this issue... had to call in the service guys this morning as the pumps kept failing on me every couple of minutes. apparently it was the main switch which had blown, and had burned through the wiring. apparently the only time it was working today was when it was able to arc acr...
