Re: Dowels in eCab - labels
You can change the user part name to something with exclamation points to make it easier for those labeling to see they need to go to the dowel machine. In the past we have made a custom label for a customer that when they added a # character followed by text, the text was converted to a barcode to ...

Re: software keeps crashing on save after adding RAM
In Edit-> Settings/Preferences, make sure the box for Disable Crash Reporting is unchecked. That will hopefully get it to where the software will crash and get to the crash reporter so we can gather more information. For curiosity sake, with Task Manager open when you save your file, how much memory...

Re: Unnecessary gaps where interruption of locked dado starts
Is it a flip operation part or all done from one side? My initial thought is either outline tool diameter is off (entered in as .375" when its actually a resharpened bit a .340"), or there isn't enough depth clearance. Potentially also the diameter of the tool cutting the tenons.

Re: How do you change the waste board thickness without flycutting?
If you want to get really in to it with AFL you can write a program to run that will log the date, time, and previous waste board value to a text value, update Machine Variables to the new value, and tie it all to a Custom Action button on the side of the screen. Then you can keep track of value ch...

Re: How do you change the waste board thickness without flycutting?
Hi Tommy. I'll have a go. This is just my way and I might have it a bit wrong. Jeremy and others probably have other ways, (maybe / hopefully simpler ways) of doing it, but it works for me. (yes and I use the snipping tool take little notes and photograph the screen as you suggested). So in machine...

Re: How do you change the waste board thickness without flycutting?
Hey Mark, yeah, two machines keep me running. We adjust the wasteboard constantly during jobs - we shoot for between .05mm and .1mm cut-through... we like to see how long we can make wasteboards last. With that small amount of cut-through, the temperature and humidity changes throughout the day nec...

Re: Door/Drawer face designer issue
In the designer dialog there is a "Preview Size" for height and width. I've searched the help files and can't find these mentioned anywhere. Can someone please explain to me the purpose of these and if they are having the effect on the drawer fronts being grain up and down versus left and...

Kerry,
Are you referring to the graphics driver you uninstalled and reinstalled an older version? Just want to be sure in the event other users come across the same issue.

Re: cutting without outline cuts
Scrap Part Recovery's function is that I have a scrapped part I need to recut on a piece of material I've found laying around. I don't want it to nest with other parts, I don't want scrap cuts in my waste material, I don't want off fall, just cut my part out.

Re: cutting without outline cuts
In the Load screen you'll need to check the box for Scrap Part Recover, and in Nesting Parameters check the box for Nest to Edge of Sheet. That should put it right in the corner of your offset.

Chris,
The negative inset option should work as you are wanting it to, can you post the cabinet or shoot it to me in an email?

Since release of 6.2.10 its been all bug fixes. I think nearly all were self induced by the features released in 6.2.10.
