Re: I am a complete Newbie to this software, I may need some

Hi Scott If I understand your question. Two areas you may get the info you are looking for. Load the job. Click on the white page tab at the top with a red c on it. (create cutlist) The doors are listed per cabinet and also doors are listed towards the end. Or again at the top for sheet cut doors, c...

Hi George.
That's my idea of automation!
The jobs just build and deliver themselves.
I wonder how you get paid for the jobs, if you have to pick up cash that would make it tough........ :D

Re: Shelf Holes in Back

Hi Stephane yes it can be done. you have to take the parts into the part editor. you can make up templates in the contour section and save them. As long as you set up your hole spacings to a standard you can use the same template. I have attached a corner cupboard where I have put in the extra holes...

Re: Hanging Base Cabinets

Hi John. we have hung many cabinets without legs. Mainly vanities with reconstituted stone tops with a depth of 22 to 24" and a back height of 16" to 24". So a fair bit of weight. Many vanities don't have the advantage of a corner wall to fix to The higher your back in relation to you...

Re: Microhood cabinets

Hi Delbert Have you sorted this one? Can you post a the file? It sounds like you are making assemblies by combining cabinets. And you should be able to put as many cabinets together as your computers memory can handle. (My laptop can handle 10 to 20 units depending on details and complexity of the u...

Re: Nesting problems

Hi Pedro You can use the snapshot button in the cabinet editor and line drawing editor then save the image. I use Photoshop to edit it, (because that is what I am used to using) or as Wally says use infran view which has a button at the top of the eCabs screen. There must be a trick that wally uses ...

Re: Nesting problems

Hi Pedro With that large piece not nesting. I can think of 2 things that may help. In construction settings for the cabinet, check the grain direction angle for that piece, it may be set to 90 degrees or something. Then in define materials for the part that is giving you trouble, have a look at leng...

Re: Info about door/drawer pull

Hi Pedro Put the .hsf files into your Thermwoods ecabinets CABINETS files. I would make a folder for 2013/may. then open eCabs and go into the cabinet Assembly editor. Find and locate the file in your cabinets folder. It wont have a picture other than the generic one until you open it then save from...

Re: Info about door/drawer pull

Hi Pedro I have used this one. From memory I think it may be a Hettich product. I don't think there are specific handles that can be applied as per the usual way in eCabs. If you want a representation I made a tool.tol that can be applied in the part editor to look like the handle. When I did the cu...

Re: Laser Tape Measures

Yes, I have been using the leica distro for about 3 years now. They are actually a dopler system, (like a bat) its the beep that measures. The laser is so that you can see where you are measuring. I have found it to be very accurate and great for measuring between walls and over junk. I remember pay...

Re: Countertop thickness

Hi Steven When I have something like that happen. Rather than getting stuck and not moving on. I save that job and reopen it, and save under a different name. Then I would either remake a new 40mm benchtop material in my materials in counter top stock and see if that loads. Or create a single cabine...

Re: drawer slides

Hi. Greg
you probably have this sorted now from the comments of Jon and Scott, but yes, Left insert 1/2". Right insert 1/2 inch.
And I also agree with Jon and Scott it would be a nice feature to associate the runner offsets to drawer boxes.

Re: drawer slides

Hi Greg
Go to construction settings for your selected cabinet.
Select add drawer door settings.
In the panel tick add drawer box with drawer front and input your settings.
I like to use the minimum increments on the height and depth as it locks those sizes.
Hope this makes sense. :)
