could you not locate your part by using the G902 fence location and your G902 square? the same way you run flip-ops? just change your fence location in the settings from G901 to G902, and away you go. You'll still need to use the hold-downs or whatever as well, but that should take of your location ...

ok, think i found where the problem is. i was selceting the edging material just fine. however, my edging material has a thickness of 0 since it is just to indicate to the guy on the edgebander what edges to do (with a pre-mill). in 5.0 i could do this no problem, but now with 5.1 the 0-thickness ma...

i've had my cabinets set up with edgebanding in the previous version. my banding is deffinately a different colour, made it very obvious (we don't do layout views with ecabs, just batch jobs). i selected the parts on the left of the new interface, and they all show the correct edging on the right, y...

new edge banding interface

love the new edgebanding interface... only problem is that my edgebanding is no longer showing up. checked the edgebanding screen a couple of times and the parts that should have edgebanding have it selected, yet in the main screen, the edgebanding does not appear on the cabinet. am i just missing a...

update for 5.1 reads as 5.0

just downloaded the patch update for 5.1 from the link given in the forum, and it says 5.0 at every instance where it gives the version, instead of 5.1. ran it anyways to see what would happen (aren't i brave?) and it appears 5.1 installed fine. just gotta update your text i guess.

cheers

gotta put my two cents in here too. i'd like to see a distinction between fixed and adjustable shelves on the labels. this has been brought up by the guys down the line a couple of times now.

actually, i even tried putting the holes offset enough so that i could select their individual center points and constrain each seperately. however it appears that once they occupied the same location that's where they started to screw up.

Dan, you genious! 8) i hadn't even thought to try constraining the quadrants of the circles, i was always using the centerpoints. i erased all the centerpoint dimensions and replaced them with quadrant dimensions and now it all works just fine! thanks a bunch Now it's up to the Thermwood guys to fig...

i tried both constraining the larger hole to the smaller whole, which is in turn constrained to the edges of the part, and constraining both holes to the edges of the part. i get the same results either way.

sorry it took so long to get back to this, but my computer committed suicide and took ALL of my files with it... I lost everything... and have spent the last 4 days trying to replace it all. And i have had to start this speaker box from scratch again. it is a hole within a hole Dan, and that seems t...

just a little update... the holes that i have finally goten to work are screwing up now whenever the size of the part changes. the counterbores are moving with the constraints when the part size changes, but the through-holes don't. then, when i try to go into CM again to fix this, i get an \"e...

what am i doing wrong???

been trying to reverse-engineer a speaker box that a potential customer dropped off... been working on it all day and am ready to throw my computer at the wall! the bottom of the box (or the back) has a series of counter-bored holes in it, of several different sizes. i can get these all in pla...

the only thing i could imagine would be to try and regenerate the cabinets after you add them to your batch. take them into the cabinet editor from the batch editor and go to the construction settings. just hit ok and the cabinet will regen. then save it to the batch over the original, and see how i...

melamine is absolutely horrible for wearing down the cutters. I use a 1/2\" for most of my melamine operations with a spindle speed of 18000 and feed rate of 750. I rarely get more than about 30 sheets cut before the chipout is bad enough to warrant a tool change. Because of that, I try to alwa...
