Hi Ryan,
Will the issue for assemblies be fixed in the next release? Can't remember the post, but the 'cab features' button will not appear for assemblies in a room.

Re: Importing materials
Yep, that's it Ryan.
So that answers my question - if a material is or is not grained, that information should be brought over when the material is imported.
Cool, thanks!

Importing materials
When opening a customer's job, I clicked through 'add material' a few times and realized that one of the materials should have been grained.
My client had it set up as grained, but it didn't import that way.
Is this a bug or is there a reason it doesn't import the material....properly?

That would be cool, Scott. Not too big a deal for me - I'm sure you guys are all concentrating on much more important things now anyhow!
Thanks for the reply

Re: Open job - add new material, repeat
Donald,
Did you 'upgrade the job to v6' when prompted?
If so, did you save the upgraded job before re-opening it?

Re: faster way to make a TWD?
Hey Kenneth, Have you noticed the improvements in TWD'ing in V6? You can now open the job, click on the CNC button, and it asks you where you want to save the TWD file. You can change material thickness if you wish, however it's much more streamlined this way in my opinion. It also inserts the defau...

Hole patterns - Question
Hey guys,
Was just wondering, is there a way to import a DXF into the hole pattern creator, and make a hole pattern without doing the math and drawing it again?
Any ideas?
Many thanks,
jnr

Re: Choice for Sheet Flip Ops on Fewest Sheets??
I think that's a fantastic idea, and I haven't even upgraded to 5.5 yet. Can anyone tell me - do I have the OPTION to flip the whole sheet OR do it the old fashioned way (one at a time)? How does the router know the reference is clean and everything lines up when the sheet is flipped over? Does it t...

Re: New Drawer Box Function
I do not believe the part editor work done to a drawer box has any relation to a 'hole pattern' at this time. It's cool to be able to edit the drawer box parts, but as Kerry pointed out in a recent post, any slide holes in the drawer box itself would create flip side machining on each left / right e...

Re: Updates
Daniel, Does this mean that my old dinosaur with Win2k is likely to have problems with the update to 5.5? If this is a known bug, could you share the info that would be helpful to check so I (and others for that matter) may not have to suffer the same frustration - or is it a hit and a miss here and...

Re: Free DXF To STL Software ????
Hey Kerry - didn't you post something a long time ago about another program you tried too - maybe it was Alibre? Did that also work for converting various file formats? From my experience, I've found Vectorworks to be fantastic because I can batch convert - so I could take a whole folder and convert...
