When opening up a job from the main screen ( the one you get when you first open ecabs) I am getting this message. An error occurred while loading Hoops information from the saved file. After exiting that little message I get another that says, There was an error after opening the job file. I am the...

Re: Re-installing ecabs
I turned off my virus protection and it fixed the problem. Now I just need to figure out how to tune the virus protection to run with ecabs.
Thank you so much!

Re: Re-installing ecabs
I did install a new trend micro security pro software and did run a window washer. I have run the window washer before and never had problems. Yes I can work in the other editors and yes the jobs have been open and closed successfully for years. My daughter suggested going back to a restore point. T...

Re-installing ecabs
I posted a question about an error message on Sat 8-29. I cannot open up any existing jobs in the custom layout room. I was wondering if reinstalling ecabs would fix my problem. If so, how would one go about that? Would you just insert the latest version 5.2 CD and then go back to all of the build u...

Re: Error message

What I think you mean by sending the job file is this, I was in the reply window on this site and clicked the browse button. I went to the Thermwood folder and opened it up. Then ope...

George, actually I have three router tables. One for the cope, one for the pattern and one for the panel. This has worked well because about 70% of my doors are flat panel doors and the panels only require a backcutter bit to plow out the back of the panels. It is the raised panels that really need ...

I have made hundreds of doors with my router table and have always wanted a shaper. My cabinet building business has really taken off thanks t...
