Re: sides shorter than desired ??

I found that if I put in a value of .035 for deck float in the face frame construction settings, the sizes get back to normal. This works, but I still wonder why I had to do it.

Re: sides shorter than desired ??

I found something interesting. If I turn the face frames off the height of the sides and back go to the correct size. Also if I change global settings for the sheet stock to generic .75 it sizes the part correctly. When I change the material back to .715 thickness and or put the face frame back on, ...

Re: sides shorter than desired ??

Wally, I checked and they are all turned off and have none in the boxes for the edgebanding.

Thanks.

Re: sides shorter than desired ??

If you hover your pointer over the parts it will give you the size. The back and both sides are .035 less than the cabinet heigth and that is not normal.

Tim, it will open withought the jpeg.

Re: base 45 degree angle cabinet

I believe part editor is your only way. There is a recent post about doing a top cabinet like you are describing. The part editor could be a little more user friendly, but it will get it done.

Re: corner base back question

Thanks Kerry.

I got it changed per the instructions on the last post, but when I try to make the parts fit together in the editor, it reverts back to all the same. I think I may give up on this one and just change materials.

corner base back question

I am working with a corner base that has a clipped back. i want a 3/4 inch piece on the clipped part of the back, but .25 plywood for the left/back and right/back.

Under construction settings there is only one place to pick the back material. Am I asking for the impossible?

Re: end upper corner

Lorin, I am having trouble making it work too. I took a normal upper frameless cabinet and resized it to 12 inches wide. Next I deleted one side. Then highlight the top and take it to the part editor. Go to contour mode in part editor and you can draw the geometry there. Then get back out of contour...

Re: end upper corner

lorin,

Are you just doing the design for display purposes or do you need to cut it on your machine as well?

Also do you need a center wall in it?

Re: .2 back with .25 bit ??

Ok Daniel, I'm starting to catch on. I was trying to make the dado/rabbet and let the bit cut off the edge a bit, but I see what you mean now. Oversize and trim the part. I did the design on my test cabient and it works. The constraint is kind of bugging me. I resized the cabinet and it seemed to st...

Re: .2 back with .25 bit ??

Thanks Daniel. I don't understand why the part would be cut to a depth of .749 I would only want it the same depth as the other dado's. Also I have LOTS of cabinets to do this to. How do you place the box to line it up and give it size parameters manually? And when I resize the cabinet will that mes...

Re: .2 back with .25 bit ??

Gary, I'm trying to get away without the manual tool change. I have run these parts in another program that allows this, but am trying to get ecabs to do it. In the other program I have to manually make each part and it's a pain to use. Kerry, I did that with the negative offset but when nesting in ...

Re: .2 back with .25 bit ??

George, Basically I want to have my machine cut down the edge of the part with some of the bit cutting into the edge of my part and some of the bit hanging off of the part. This is before the part is actually cut loose from the sheet. i can't get the program to do it so far, but I'm still trying. Ke...
