Re: Dado settings for plywood

Joe,

I've been using .01 for depth and .015 for fit clearance with all materials and have had good luck.

Re: Anyone Using the CS 41?

I cut 4 X 8 sheets on my 45 all the time and sometimes put a scrap 18" X 60" X 1/4" melamine on the back edge of the table. It sits there minding it's business without much attention from me. I've been cutting a lot of solid wood parts lately so I put cover sheets over the unused area...

Re: holding solid wood

I've been cutting a lot of solid wood moldings for a pair of church doors I'm making. I've been using scrap 1/4" melamine as a holding fixture. I dry run the outline cutting a few thousandths into the fixture so I know where the blank should be. Then I drill a couple of small holes for screws r...

Re: Selecting Multiple Objects in PE

It doesn't look as though you can select a group. But you can set them all to the same depth in one shot. After you right click and select "Cut pocket using closed contour", just select all your pockets one at a time. When they all turn green, click next and set the depth or cut through.

Thanks Ken. I'm pleased to hear that ads will not be a part of the software. I greatly appreciate your efforts with eCabinet Systems, the most powerful cabinet program out there. I of course support what ever you decide is required to keep developing the application. Being a part time software devel...

Re: "The parameter is incorrect"

You don't need to rotate the stretcher. In streatcher editor, select the stretcher and click Construction Settings. Select Construction Parameters for up-down stretchers. Select Tenon Front Side. Your problem should go away.

Re: CN Feature Request- One DXF Multiple parts

I'll have to go along with Dave on this one. I've run into this myself several times. I spend way too much time re-drawing parts.

Besides, us Daves have to stick together.

Re: Shape manager retard

Tim,

I use AutoCad LT to draw the tool shape and then import the dxf into eCabinets. I'm much more experienced drawing the shapes of tools in LT.

Re: Dados and Tenons tight!

Are you checking material thickness on several sheets before cutting? I've seen pretty big differences in thickness in one unit lately.

Re: Associating cabs to walls

Terry, The A and D are just hot keys for the Associate and Disassociate commands. I just tried to associate a cabinet to a wall and had no problem. Did you single left click the wall and then the cabinet before selecting the Associate/Disassociate Items button? After doing this when you hover over t...

Re: pocket problem

You guys nailed it. For what ever reason, the max interpolate setting was more than twice the diameter of the tool. I double checked and made sure all tools are set to .001" less than twice the diameter of the tool. I ran another test and it worked perfectly. I must have been fooling around, I ...
