Re: Speed of V6 varies with use?

Gary,

I can feel the ground shaking from you banging your head against the wall all the way to Texas. lol :wall:

I would hold up on that 20 thousand dollar pc till after they come out with build 2, of which I was told would be "soon"

Re: Problem saving in V6

your directory starts with C:\ and you have to take all that stuff out from in front of your file name.

It does that in V6 and it is a pain. I hope it is on the list for build 2.

Anyway back all that beginning stuff out and just put your file name in it and it will work.

Re: Speed of V6 varies with use?

Ok, so it was just one cabinet. 30 seconds to nest and 20 seconds for a twd file.

It does seem like quite a bit of time for just one cabinet.

V6.2 is supposed to help with the speed issue.

Re: Speed of V6 varies with use?

Gary, All of my job files end in a esj extension. I can't do anything with yours. Normally the hsf is just one cabinet.

It is just me again??

Re: Can't get rid of blind dado on ends?!

I suspect it's something with the face frames. It seems strange that changing all joints to butt didn't change the front tennon into the face frame.

I don't always understand why, "butt" as long as we can figure out how, thats the main thing. lol

Take care

Re: Can't get rid of blind dado on ends?!

Go to construction settings/globa/change all joints to butt.
Then go back and change the deck and back to full dado one at a time.

Re: counter top problem

For me it's usually easier to just do a large display panel and take it to the editor and cut it the way I want. For counter tops you have to have a cabinet there first. If you do that, just texture the display panel the same as your couters and you can place it anywhere you like.

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

On the "PAY TO PLAY" issue, I have a few thoughts. First if someone purchased a thermwood machine, or even the shopbot link with the agreed upon notion that the sofware was and would remain free, that would be unfair to make those folks pay more money for what they knew was free going into...

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

That would be nice too Joe. You could download a library and do a global fix to your preffered settings and you are ready to cut. Either way would be a major plus and save all the click, click, click, click,........ i think the more global that it is, the more it will be locking up pc's though. To m...

Re: After the bugs are fixed in V6

I have a more basic request for an improvement that would help me. It involves construction parameters. I would like to be able to enter some default information and any cabinet that I would put into the cabinet editor could be changed to my preferences by clicking on my default parameters. A few di...

Re: error in hoops

ok, I found the files in a different location than I was used to. Here is the cabinet that gave the trouble. This cabinet saved fine as is. I changed it to a 28 inches wide, 10 inch left stile on the face frame to make it like a blind cabinet, took off the drawers on the bottom and the center rail t...

error in hoops

What does this mean? I modified a cabinet in V6 and it looks correct. When I try to save it I get this error message. An error occured while adding hoops information to save the file. It wil not save my cabinet. It let me save it as an assembly, but it is NOT an assembly I tried to attach it, but al...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

When I was making some changes to a cabinet, everytime I saved that change it looks like it refreshed the whole lot of cabinets in there. I have to save changes a lot, because I never know when it's going to lock up again. I would think just a jpeg of the cabinet and a link to where the program can ...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

It seems like the Cabinets available for placing in the display on the right have every bit of information in them instead of just a link to where they are. If you have every bit of info on every cabinet in your library up at one time, that has got to be bogging down and freezing pc's everywhere. Ke...

Re: V 6 locking up my pc

The display cube box seems to just open up a place for me to make a display cube. It didn't do anything to the cabinet. Still locking up, but not quite as often. I like all the new features, but I hate having to buy a new pc everytime the program is upgraded. I don't care for the forced upgrade time...
