Newbie question re: tools
Haven't used this part of software yet. I hope I can get some basics understood. I have a 12" x 12" X 3/4" panel mdf. I would just like to add a square 8" x 8" on top using a V- groove bit 1/4" deep. I have checked the tool library but do not see a "V" bit. So...

Cutting letters from DXF...issue?
I had to cut some lettering recently for a customer. 1/2" MDF. I used a 1/4" bit. As you can see from the picture the corners of the "N" is where the issue is. The original is a letter comes to a point in that area. I'm just wondering why it would drill out that area like that? T...

Different drawer box heights in one cabinet

Re: Leaving skin along edge during outline
Thanks Josh, that makes sense but its just weird that it just happens when it travels along the edge. Cuts great everywhere else.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Heres one. As you can see the skin. Even after it has done the second "removing skin" pass.

Leaving skin along edge during outline
Just a few facts first: 3/4" Melamine. 1/2" tool for outline. No matter if its a large piece (cuts outline in one pass) or small pieces( 2 passes). The finished process leaves a 0.01" skin along the bottom edge. The length of the table. About 1/2" - 3/4" wide. I hope Im expl...

Re: Manually cutting a shape in middle of board??
You could also nest it to the corner and use a fixture offset to move it to the center or use a really big collar value. You can set up a material type to do this automatically. If you have to nest several items in specific places then Scott's suggested method is the better way. Thanks Daniel, coul...

Re: Manually cutting a shape in middle of board??
Sorry for the confusion. Should have drawn this first. As you can see a 36" x 36" panel with a 6"x6" cut out in the middle. I have Solidworks, I thought there might be a simpler way to "fool" the machine to tell it where to start.
Thanks
