Re: Import Batch From Excel
That's cool. I didn't know you could do that. Sorry I can't help you with the new version though, but thanks for teaching me something!

Re: Shop drawings package sample
Brad, we are a commercial shop and had this same issue. We have overcome it by outsourcing our shop drawings and then using those drawings to know what to program in ecabs. It's a much cheaper way than investing in 30K of software that takes years to learn. Although I know ACAD, outsourcing our shop...

overhead vacuum
Does anybody have an overhead vacuum setup to vacuum the sawdust off the table after a sheet is ran? If so I'd love to see how you engineered it. Right now we have a shop vac style hose plumbed into the dust collector and we vac off the big stuff and then blow off the fine dust. Problem for us is it...

edgebanding and part editor
I've noticed in part editor that when I take an edgebanded slab door/drawer into the part editor, the edgebanding is subtracted from the part, showing only the panel without the edgebanding (the dimensions displayed at the top of the screen reflect this too.). But, when I take a cabinet part like a ...

Re: Programming Outsource
I use the KD fitting settings instead of part editor. For the KD fitting I use a dowel program that I got from Jason S. If you search this forum you will find it. As far as the horizontal drilling I use another machine- an Accu-Systems HVPP CNC drilling machine. You could use a manual 32mm construct...

Programming Outsource
I am looking for someone to outsource ecab programming to on an as needed basis. Person should have at least 2 yrs experience with ecabs. Should also have 2 yrs experience with ACAD and Autodesk Design Review. Shop drawings will be forwarded in ACAD/Design Review and cabinets will be designed from t...

same sheet part location info?
What does the message "listing same sheet part location information" (and then the option to cancel it) mean when nesting? That is a newer message and I'm wondering if there is some new feature that I'm missing out on. Thks

Finished side out instead of in
Not a gripe, just a suggestion- Would anybody out there vote to make a check box option to have the finished side out instead of facing in? This could be in the construction settings dialog.I do a lot of integral laminate finished ends and have to list that material as "upside down" b/c by...

Re: KD fittings on a drawer box
Scott, I'm having another issue with KD fittings on drawer boxes. I've modified a fitting to be a dowel and on the right side of the box I can inset the bottom dowel 1.5" and the top 1", but on the left side I can only set the insets equal. Is this the same problem as before?

Re: A cardboard box
Try www.packmeister.com (may not export as DXF) or www.conservation-by-design.co.uk "kasemake" . It's funny because we had to custom make some boxes this past week for the first time. The box supplier wanted a $300 setup fee and we only needed 8 boxes. I drew them in ACAD and ran them as a...

Re: Z Axis Oscillation
Sounds good. It is funny that I ran across this when I did. Last week my tooling guy and I were looking at some compression bits that were fine except for a notch where the laminate had worn the carbide down. He said some shops vary the depth of cut into their wasteboard to try and drag out the life...

Re: Z Axis Oscillation
Is there any plans to add it to CN? I don't think we'd ever use it having to manually add the code in. That would take forever even on a smalll cabinet run.

Z Axis Oscillation
I was reading the new Gen 2 Controller manual and I came across a mention of being able to oscillate the Z axis to slow cutter wear when cutting laminate. I can't find any other info about this feature is it in CN 5.47?

constriant manager
Is there a way to keep holes centered in a panel with the constraint manager? For instance holes for 4" wire pulls for a drawer front? This way if the width or height of the drawer front was changed it would keep those holes centered top to bottom and left to right.

Re: Color Coded Labels
Yea, I know they won't work with the Dymo, but I can't find the interface to select the color option with sheet labels in the print dialogue of Control Nesting.
