Joe,

Sounds like a good idea. I plan on trying it out on some good old cheap dimensionslly stable MDF before I move on to more expensive stuff. I'll let you know how it goes.

Drawer Boxes

All,

We have been building cases on our CNC for other shops and have been getting requests for drawer boxes. Until now I have been saying No mostly out of fear of the unkonown. I would be interested in hearing about members experiences with drawer boxes in ecab cut on a CNC.

Thanks

Cut list summary accuracy

I am about to purchase 2 complete houses of board stock based on the cut list summary. I remember forum traffic regarding the cut list summary accuracy that was in question. Has this been fixed in 5.1 b2?

Mike, I have had similar problems, with the CNC you get what you program and when the program is off it can get ugly in a hurry. There have been a bunch of posts regarding \"change\" and errors in the program. I believe this will be a topic for a while so we assume there will be problems a...

bug confirmation question solved

Sorry for the false alarm. I pulled standard cabinets from the other seat of e-cab in our office and the problem went away. Looks like my folder of standard cabinets got messed up some how.

Kerry, thanks for taking a look at this. The problem is that I'm trying to place an adjustable shelf and I'm getting a dado and holes on the right end and a dado on the back. Obviously the dados should not show up with holes when placing an adjustable shelf. Not sure if your explaination addresses m...

bug confirmation work around

Please see previous two posts on \"bug confirmation\". If anybody is having the same problem, if it is a problem and not just \"operator error\" , then the logical work around seems to be start with a framed cabinet, get your adjustable shelves and basic construction setti...

bug confirmation 2

The potential bug in the previous posting \"bug confirmation\" doesn't look to be a problem when starting with an upper framed cabinet. We have completed a number of frameless projects with build 12 so I'm not sure why this just became a problem. It may be the previous projects were based ...

oversized backs

My standard construction involves 1/4 dados inset 3/4 from the back edge for a 1/4 inch back. Material with grain requires a split back when the cabinet is wider than 48 inch. How can I put in a two piece back and still maintain dados on both sides?

Mike For us it’s all about throughput on the CNC this is Rule #1 in our shop, actually Rule # 2 if you consider safety as #1, lots of throughput is how we are paying for it. For that reason we focus on materials that go on and off quickly with few problems. We try to stay away from plywood because o...

Forrest, I currently have the 4 tool holder and would like to add tools in the bar style configuration. The tech service guy at Thermwood said that wasn't possible. Can you tell me more about your upgrade? Like the type of machine, who supplied the hardware and software, etc. Any information would b...
