Re: DXF File in Contour Mode in PE Loading Wrong

Tom: I can reproduce something similar to what you are getting by drawing a shape on the wrong plane and exporting it as a polyface mesh. I am not sure if this is your problem but the program I use I export lines only no faces.

Re: DXF File in Contour Mode in PE Loading Wrong

Tom: You probably already know this but Make sure you are drawing the Geometry That you are exporting into Ecab. On the same plane as X and Y on the part editor screen. Looking straight down on the Z axes, Y runs top to bottom on the screen and X runs left to right. Make sure that the geometry is 2d...

Pocket cleanup pass first on flip op?????

I was doing a test run on this door and when I did the flip op for the glass pocket the machine tried to do the pocket clean up first and then the main pocket last. I have pockets on both sides with constraints. The front side has pockets with profiles. The front side pocketed as normal.

Re: how To Scale/Move Rectangles/Circles in Part Editor?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't part editor have offset , mirror and move/copy tools that can be used to do what Tom is describing? Although Kerry's method is the method of choice for me.

Re: End mill cutter for metal on solid wood

Thanks Josh: I will give that a try. I found some flat bottom spiral cutters on MLCS web site. We have some straight 2 flute carbide tipped cutters on hand but there is a space on the bottom between the tips. I will have to try one and see if they leave marks too. Before purchasing one.

End mill cutter for metal on solid wood

I was wandering if anyone was using a end mill cutter for metal on solid wood. We have some molding to run that have some flat faces and our standard spiral cutters are leaving lines from the sharp points on the ends. The only end mills I can locate are for metal.

Re: Is youbuild.com going to be like production sharing???

My Question is.Has any other Beta testers recieved this new release yet or is CFP now the official tester?I choose to have a postive outlook on this but it just would not be right if THM and ECAB is holding out on this new jonery until CFP and Home Depo has cornered the market.

Re: Tool change issues

Jason I have this issue before when it was cold at night then the next morning it would do this and also some times when multable machines that used the same air compresser were in use. The fix was to warm up the head for about 30 min if the cold temp was a factor and to shut air off to unnesseary m...

Re: Problem Profiling!!!!

Kerry I was able to apply the cutter you posted by removing all of the fillets (all corners where 90 deg.) Although I had to recreate the part.It seams that the problem may have something to do with the fillets or arcs. When I apply fillets to the inside corners the software crashes. When I apply fill...
