Gary, there are quite a few reasons that come to mind as to why you would ask that. I am curious as to why you're interested. No biggie, just curious.

Re: laptop specs

Quadro FX series chips all work quite well with eCabinet Systems' Hoops engine. Just make sure to update to the very latest driver from the laptop vendor because, surprisingly, new laptops often don't have the latest.

Re: Topic does not exist

The patch is no longer needed because the newest full installer contains the latest code for handling registration on x64 PC's.

"Application/octet-stream" would be the best match. Glad you got it resolved.

Re: Can't start eCab as non-Admin user

I mentioned version 5.2 and earlier specifically because it is the latest version. Versions in development may or may not remove this requirement because, after all, they are still in development.

Re: Can't start eCab as non-Admin user

eCabinet Systems v5.2 and earlier were not designed to run for any user other than administrators. This is primarily due to the application's need to write files in the Thermwood\eCabinet Systems subdirectory of Program Files.

Tim,

Be careful comparing competing products on the forum. It's not allowed. Limit discussion of KCDw to the available Thermwood link for KCDw.

Re: malware

My advice to people is to never, ever use an administrator-level account for day-to-day business operations. If your day-to-day use account is a standard user level account, there is almost no way that the Windows directory, Program Files directory, or system-level registry entries can be infected. ...

Re: Trouble reinstalling Ecab software

The use of the version 4.1 CD is no longer supported by the registration servers. To get eCabinets to work, you would have to install your 4.1, upgrade to 5.0, then load the latest 5.0 build then register. Best bet: call in for a new 5.2 CD. Re: Manual

My 2¢ here. The reason the book costs what it does is based purely on "demand and supply" and economies of scale. In book publishing terms, the market for this book is very, very small; you could say that it's a very vertical market. With small demand, production costs are higher. For as s...

Re: What is a open GL driver

OpenGL is the graphics library used by eCabinet Systems. The main competitor of OpenGL is Microsoft's DirectX, which many gamers know--and know well. OpenGL is, by its name, an open standard that is extensible by developers on all computer platforms, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, Solaris,...

Those all look fine to me, depending on hardware and software installed. Either way, I recognize all of those as legit.
