Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout
OK, thank you Scott for that. I took your idea and went to the standard cabinets and picked a toe/kick & modified it to 3.5" & saved. Picked a standard faceless cab, modified to 3.5" detached toe/kick, saved. I was able to place these in the room with no problems. So then I removed...

Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout
Thanks Carmen & Ralph For the stub wall (which does form a T with respect to the long wall) I found that I could go to Wall Options and pick Reverse Build Direction. That then put the dark line on the side of the wall where I needed it. That issue is resolved. I'll change it back when doing the ...

Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout
Hi, I'm having two problems on my first go with the Custom Layout. The first of the problems is that there is a stub wall (about 25") sticking out of the much longer adjacent wall. I started from the origin, went up some feet (Wall #1), took a right turn and went over some more feet (#2) until ...

Re: Common stile between two cabinets
Thank you Thomas & JR.
I'm trying to build out much like Thomas said.
The related thread to this one has some interesting comments. Ralph has suggested just create the face frame as a separate component. I've been heading that way. Still trying to get the particulars down.

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Oh, Wow! Nice. I am looking forward to that video. I'm going to try and disassemble the thing and see what you did. I did some resizing and I did not see any problem with the toe/kick. I use a detached toe/kick anyway so the non-resize of that is not a problem. I agree with Ralph that I would keep t...

Re: Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Thank you Terry for the reply. I had thought to do an assembly but that would still result in a lot of tweaking. The "whole thing as one cabinet" idea I hadn't thought of. I suspect resizing something in that would require a lot of tweaks as well. Still, I can see some interesting possibil...

Common stile between two cabinets
I posted a bit ago and pulled out a separate but related question thinking that would be better proceedure. Using the same example as before, we have three 24" cabinets and are placing them side by side. Each of the cabinets has sides composed of 11/16 sheet stock. When we face the cabinets, we...

Common top and bottom rail between cabs
Greetings all, I'm new here and this is my first post. If I goof something up please let me know. I've taken most of the video training and have just received my copy of Nearly Everything but not gone through it besides flipping pages. I expect it will get some solid usage for a while until I get go...
