Loading DXF into control nest?
Hi, I have been experimenting with loading dxf files directly into control nest and am getting this error come up. 'A common close point was not found for an outline operation. The DXF file g:/test eclipse.dxf will not be in the nest.' Can anyone shed any light on what this message is about? This is...

Eclipse DXF file ?
Hi, I have created an eclipse in AutoCad and want to load it into eCabs to apply to a part. The arc of the eclipse comes out in eCabs as a series of short straight lines to form the arc and not a nice curved arc. In AutoCad it's definately a smooth shaped eclispe but once loading in eCabs it's diffe...

Profile edge feature?
Hi, When using the profile edge feature of eCabs, can this only be used in conjunction with profile modeler on the machine. Say if I have a 45 degree tool set up in eCabs and want a simple 45 degree cut along one edge, getting it to happen in eCabs is easy but I was wondering what happens once the f...

Custom layout floating window?
Hi, When working in custom layout and when you select a cabinet and take it into the editor to modify it, the right hand side floating window momentarily undocks itself open and then when your returning the cabinet back into custom layout the same right hand side floating window undocks open and the...

Hardware hole pattern modifications?
I would like to slightly alter a hole pattern that is used in many of our library cabinets. After making the necessary changes to the hole pattern, do my cabinets using this hole pattern all automatically get updated once they are opened or used in a job or is there something I must do to get them u...

Adding a fillet to an internal corner??
Hi, It's been some time since I have had to put a fillet onto an internal corner and was left scratching my head after I couldn't get it to work. The attached shelf needs a 50mm fillet on the internal corner the same as the two external corner fillets which works as per norm. But when I went to fill...

Re: 5.57 update screen problem
Larry,
The biggest sheets we run are 3620 x 1820 so I have reduced the table size to this and was able to correct the problem height wise but still have not been able to fit the width of the screen in fully. Look forward to the update to fix this.
Thanks for your time,
Dale

5.57 update screen problem
Have just updated to 5.57 version of control nest and have noticed a problem on our machine. I was checking out the new add sheets settings page and found that the new buttons along the bottom are barily visable on our monitor. I can only see the top third of the buttons and can't make out their nam...

Zooming in line drawing editor
I had just started using the line drawing editor to supply the boys in the workshop with drawings to work to. Am having trouble working out how to zoom in so my cabinets take up the full extents of the A4 sheet size. Can anyone give me some directions here.
Cheers,
Dale

Machine warm up procedure ?
Do any of you guys warm up your cnc before machining anything? I was reading through the machine manual the other day and seen a section on warming up the machine before use. If so, do you run a certain program to do this or is there a way of just turning on the spindle whilst in the home position? ...
