Re: Hey, howcum.......
I would vote for both... fixed width and depth, and of course the 100% width.(perhaps as a checkbox?) The only other thing I have run into has been the need to put a 1/4" deep blind dado into the faceframe (spec), but not wanting to cut that deep into a 12mm left or right end. Top & deck da...

Re: Drawer Slide Front Mounting Hole - Incorrect Orientation
Kerry... I cant speak to the MDF door question(s), but can elaborate, at least to our "wished usage" as it applies to draw boxes. Allow the slide (runner) hole pattern to work exactly like the Hinge pattern works. You have a set of holes that drill in the side of the case AND an editable p...

Re: Shop Drawings Definition
Fred.... I dont know personally of a definition for shop drawings, but I havent scoured the AIA docs looking for them. I am sure there is a generic definition in there somewhere. What I have experienced on both commercial and residential jobs, is a list, usually from the Architect or Designer, that ...

Re: Problem with holes showing up
Neville... Thanks for the information. Its nice to hear how things are done on the other side of the planet. Over the years, I dont think our cabinetry has not been typical for the US as we dont really do kitchens. I have traditionally done solid wood furniture and cabinetry. It is only in the past ...

Are you saying that in your part of the world frameless cabinets are MORE than framed versions?Neville Bastian wrote: Its a shame people don't always want to pay for it.

Re: Let's give Thermwood some well deserved credit!
When I am down, and frustrated by eCabs, trying to get a job out, I would jump on a thread to vent some. I also wish to jump on this thread to echo my kudos and thanks for V6. Each release is working better than the prior, has steady improvement on the new features and the machining is spot on! Than...

Re: Draw Box Problems
An update to this post. I cut these drawers today, but instead of using the DBE and applying the overlapping dados to drawers, they were applied to the Std Upper Frameless. There is obviously something different in the 2 editors. I would guess something wrong in the DBE, but am not sure. The CE allo...

Re: Draw Box Problems
Joe.... Thanks for the reply. You are correct. It is very unlikely in the eCabs world that cut geometry can overlap. Out here in the real world we realize that an operator may need that function occasianally. I was able to nest and cut these with exactly the same geometry shown by simply putting the...

Draw Box Problems
The CNC cut plywood draw box file below has been designed as an inexpensive replacement for solid wood. It was also designed with joinery that eliminates FlipOps. I have cut a couple dozen with V6b1. Today I installed this box in a cabinet and received this nest: Draw Nest.PNG Any ideas? Thanks if y...

Re: Hardware DB Changes & Error
Josh... Thanks for the explanation. I, like you, cleaned out a large number of vendors or mfgrs in build 1. I didnt try to delete any mfgr that had an item in the DB, just ones with zero values that I would never use. I added all my required hardware items to the DB over the weekend, I have 53. I ma...

Hardware DB Changes & Error
V6b2b has had some changes to the hardware DB. All of the existing Listed Manufacturers are now classified as "legacy" and cant be deleted? IS there any reason for this that I am missing? I use 10 and may build to 20, but normal use is 5 or less. Build 1 allowed deletion of unused items. S...

Re: Speed of V6 varies with use?
Georgi... I wish I was in your shoes. I havnt found anything in the cutting area that V6 lacks from V5. That is a very good thing. My problem is that we are constantly designing for both estimates and cutting when we get the jobs. Almost every job comes from a different designer or shop, and each ha...
