Re: Conestoga Doors

Hey Doug... Trust me, I know the power of this forum...I was simply responding to your question regarding conestoga. I have purchased from them for years and have never seen that style in any of their offerings. Looks like you have several other viable options...that cherry door certainly was attrac...

Re: How sturdy is the Flycutter?

sucks that the machine will do whatever you tell it to - eh? You'd think it would know better then the operator... welcome to the club Damon...as Michael said, whether we'll all admit it or not - we've all made mistakes we wished we hadn't. I have several sitting close to the machine to to remind me...

Re: Lock Miters

Hi Michael...

I did check my computer, but I don't have any photos showing the jigs on here. I'll try to get a couple shots over the weekend and post them.

All my jigs were designed in ecabinets and cut on the router.

Re: Lock Miters

We have several different Amana bits, including the 45° lock mitre bit. We've made jigs to hold the materials and have had very satisfactory results. If you have any specific questions just let me know Mark BTW - be sure to slow down your spindle speed and check for manufacture recommendations for l...

Re: Kidney-shaped desk

Hi Alan...

Where are you located? If your close enough that we could help cut the parts and/or work with you on the project we would be happy to do so.

Re: 5 piece doors, but no raised panel

Happy new year everyone... I hear you Jerry...we've done that on several occasions for flat panels for one reason or another...I haven't looked at the format required at the controller for adding an excel sheet, but if the exported cut list could be formatted correctly it would eliminate the human e...

Re: 5 piece doors, but no raised panel

Jerry... I haven't tried this because we don't build many flat panel doors - however if you exported the cutlist from eCabinets to excel you should be able to format the panel sizes into an excel sheet that can be loaded directly into control nesting vs entering the individual panels at the controll...

Re: Fold together veneer box?

Presently you would have to lay it out in the part editor and then cut it with the profile modeler on the machine.

I actually laid up a box the other night at home for fun to see how it would work...I just don't have any time on the router at the moment to run it and see how it would come out.

Re: Fold together veneer box?

I have two of Amana's new "insert" cutter heads...they are solid and run beautifully. I know the new 91° mitre fold is an insert cutter head as well. The tool body will run about $130 +/- (which comes with a set of insert blades for mdf) then the replacement carbide blades which can be rev...

Obviously it works theoretically...maybe Forest could offer some suggestions - I believe he was making posts/columns using this method or a method similar to it.

Re: Modern roll top desk

I have to agree with Brian...very nice Dave! Simple clean lines - really looks sharp.

How did you do the roll-top? Amana has a new set of bits for a roll top that I have been curious about, you didn't use those by any chance did you?
