I'm not going to be of much help but Ecabs did dowel construction for the first few years. I would think the "User Defined Operations" is your best option for applying them now.

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?
Nvidia just came out with another driver update that fixed it for me.

Re: Cutlist programs
Thanks Guys, So I'm currently doing as Kerry describes and then loading that file into an online optimizer that I went ahead and paid for. I can sort and save the xls file as a csv and import it to the cutlist and it will nest each width material into cut sheets. I print those out for the panel saw....

Re: Turn grain off select parts
I envision a drop down menu of part types similar to the change material option in ecabinets but something else that would be nice is the option to select a part on a sheet and turn grain off so you can rotate just that part.

Cutlist programs
Do you guys use any free or cheap cut list programs? I have used this online one called cutlist optimizer that works pretty well for drawer box parts. I export the parts list from ecabs to excel and save it as a csv which I can then import to the optimizer. This way I can get the drawers to nest in ...

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?
I think I did an update to my video card and that or a windows update broke it. For some reason I feel like my video card isn't working anymore and it's using onboard graphics. When I run a test on the card the results are good so can't figure that out. I remember those two settings were for compute...

Re: Is rendering playing up for anyone else?
I've had the same issue for a couple months now on one of my computers. It acts like its doing the render but nothing changes. Take the same job to another computer and it renders just fine. I figure it's an update windows did.

Re: CN Feature request
Something else that helps the roughing tool last longer is oscillation. It spreads the wear along the edge. It doesn't have to oscillate much to make a huge difference. Guys who run pod machines use it because of the added clearance under the part but it can still help on the initial pass.

Re: Progress bar glitch
Kerry,
My newer laptop doesn't do it so I'm sure a new desktop would fix it but its still a very capable setup so kinda hard to justify replacing at this point. I think it's graphics card related but maybe something Thermwood can look at and adjust.

Progress bar glitch
I just started experiencing this. When doing a rebuild or some type of function that displays a progress bar the box never closes. Just hangs up on the screen. Usually when I re gen or go back to another screen it will disappear but still an annoyance. I'm thinking it may be a new W10 update but eve...

Major bug with edgebanding
I have a job with a few assemblies in them. One of the assemblies has 5 duplicates. The edgebanding is the correct count on the single unit but doesn't multiply by 5. Not only am I shy the edgebanding needed to complete a rush job but under quoted by $730 so not good. Let me know if you need the fil...

Re: Line Drawing Editor Crashing
Your specs are definitely on the bare minimum for larger jobs. Dedicated Open GL graphics cards help as well. I looked up one of my larger jobs with drawings and it's just under 79mb. It's a little slow but doesn't crash in LDE. I have a Dell Precision desktop and 2 laptops with Quadro cards that ev...

Re: Line Drawing Editor Crashing
Hey Jay, what are your computer specs? Not sure what it is about line drawings but they seem to require a lot of computing power.
