Don,
I am not sure about moving walls but for viewing purposes if you highlight the wall and right click I believe it gives you the option of hiding that wall and its associated cabinets.

Re: hinge position difference by 2mm
The correct distance for the hinge mounting plate is 37 mm from the front edge to center for the hinge mounting plates that I use. If one is 37 and the other is 39 then there could be a software problem. If the mounting plate holes are supposed to be 37 but one is thirty six and the other is 38 then...

Re: hinge position difference by 2mm
Sorry Chris, I spoke too soon which is what I often do . You might try checking the distance in the line drawing editor and if the distance is different there then it would be software related likely. Is it possible that your home position is not at zero on the Y axis?

Re: Associations
I am not sure if this will help but a here is a suggestion to play with. Create a filler using a cabinet back from a "FRAMELESS" base cabinet Remove all parts except the back and set the back material to the same material and thickness you use for fillers.. In the main menu in "settin...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?
Greg, I did build face frame cabinets in the past but I haven't done so for a number of years, and never using CNC. I cannot offer you an informed response. If something comes back incorrect think of it as a learning opportunity, if it comes back without incident, brace yourself for the next one. If...

Re: 11/16 or 3/4 ?
You should use 11/16 if the material thickness is 11/16 when you write your TWD file. Your blind dado settings and all of your openings use a percentage of material thickness or actual material thickness, if you are not extremely accurate with material thicknesses when you create your TWD files you ...

Re: Hardware hole pattern library - such a thing?
Greg To the best of my knowledge you will have to check and perhaps edit the standard patterns which are closest to your needs in the pattern folder or create one if you cannot find the one you need. The hardware manufacturer's website should have line drawings for their products that you can use fo...

Re: Hardware hole pattern library - such a thing?
You can access hole patterns in several ways. When you open Ecabinets there is an icon in the top row which is an illustration of a cup hinge. It is yellow. If you click on it, it will take you to a standard hole pattern library. You can load edit and save patterns there. When you are in cabinet edi...

Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout
When you are in custom layout go to preferences and settings standard dimensions and check that you have your base cabinet mounting height correct. I was having the same problem a while back. One of the things that I did not relalize is that toe kicks are treated like cabinets and are also placed at...

Re: Detached Toe, a cabinet, and Custom Layout
In elevation view if you highlight a single cabinet a menu appears on the left side of the screen. That menu has things like top , bottom, left right. you can simply input the numbers and the cabinet adjusts. If you have trouble placing it over a toe kick make sure that the toe kick is at the proper...

Re: eCabinet Productivity
Just a note on other software. I used to use a different product for design and sales and it worked well but did not do the work that I can do with Ecabinets. It was much quicker to do a layout but again the custom building business created the need for many workarounds as well. It did not do the ki...

Re: eCabinet Productivity
To paraphrase an anecdote sent by a friend," there are unlimited opportuniites to learn a lesson until the lesson is learned". In dealing with customers I used to use a standard checklist of all of the items that had been asked for from my different customers, such as built in cuting board...

Re: eCabinet Productivity
Thank you for the feedback. I suspect that a faster processor might require a different motherboard and different memory. Would a larger graphics card do much? Would the investment save a significant amount of time in anyone's opinion and if so would you share your opinion as to what might be a good...
