Re: Frame flush to inside

I'd like to suggest taking it one step further. Well... perhaps more than one step. There are many times when the size (width, length, and material thickness) of one part determines the position, inset, offset, scribe, etc used in construction settings and other places in the program. Instead of onl...

Nick,
Another idea, perhaps much better if it works, with the job loaded in CN, try to \"Add sheet\" and change the added sheet's grain direction to \"Y\"

Brain, Two possibilites come to mind. 1. You must \"Vectorize Text\" in Bobcad, to convert the text to lines/arcs before saving the DXF. The part editor only recognizes lines and arcs from the DXF file. 2. Be aware of the position of the converted text in relationship to 0,0. The part edit...

Nick, You can use a grained material, then in eCabinets, use the construction settings for the DBX to change the \"Grain direction angle\" to 90 for each part. The grain will appear to be running the wrong direction in eCabs, but since you're using a material with the grain running in the ...

Hi Patrick, Welcome aboard. Production sharing members have been providing machining services to shops of all sizes for about 5 years. I guess for cabinetmaking, that's pretty new, but for other industries; it would be a history lesson. Production sharing is an amazing business tool and integral par...

Hi Rob,
Norboard's aspen/birch core is more problematic than poplar core material (Columbia). We get good results with a new tool (one that has never touched PC or MDF) at 500IPM and 18000 RPM, conventional cut, but shorter tool life than normal.

We frequently manually nest sheets using DXF files by drawing the sheet perimeter on the outline layer, and the part perimeters on a chain compout layer. Your outline tool will need to be set-up for rout/dado operations. You can supress the \"outline\" cut on the CN settings page. \"n...

Just another thought on the subject, that might be a little easier to implement. If the first pass of a double pass cut were performed outside the part perimeter by a user defined amount. (say .030\") and the second pass was performed on the line. This should eliminate the \"lip\" whe...

Both of these problems will happen if your \"part rotation step angle\" is set to something besides 90.

It's on the CN settings page.
