Re: 4th axis area???

OK Guys and Gals, Can all of you that have a Rotary Playback/4th axis/Indexer please post here and let us know if it is collecting dust or are you using it to it's full potential. If you know someone that has one and they do not post here regularly, give them a nudge to get active and post here. I k...

Re: 4th axis area???

Hey Ryan, Thanks for the reply. I could be wrong but to me the aggregates are not the same as a 4th axis but a C axis. They are two different beasts and I believe programed totally different. :?: My Aggregate is a Benz adjustable Saw/router and is a fixed unit so no C axis to program. So how I progr...

Re: 4th axis area???

Hey Jason, How are you doing? I don't think it would take away from others but actually bring attention to it. I don't typically look at the 5 axis because it does not apply to me but having a 4th axis area will help us that have one and I believe help Thermwood because it will help identify users a...

4th axis area???

Hey Thermwood Team, I see some space in between 3 & 5 axis that I think you could squeeze in a 4th axis/Playback/indexer forum and it may spark some interest for those of us that have them and those that have thought about getting one or even those that are just curious and have extra time on th...

Re: Doors to fit " Arched Opening "

Hey George,
Great job doing the arched doors but what was your procedure?
You know the old saying...give a man a fish you feed him for a day but teach him how to fish and you feed him for life...
or something like that.

Re: Wish List for Version 6

Hey Joe, It's never too late to wish  but I think that waiting for V7 is old thinking from what I remember reading in Jason's or Ken's post. V6.1 sounds more likely and downloaded instead of waiting for CDs by snail mail makes it not only more efficient but also a great deal more economical. I ...

Re: shop bot

One other major limitation might be that many of the ShopBot user's do not have an ATC. Since we use at least 3-4 tools all the time to make blind dado cabs how will Bots be able to do this? Manual tool change?

Re: Where is V6?

I would respectfully disagree with the advertising. If I remember correctly many people have complained about it be too slow and there are many who probably haven't upgraded to the newest computers. That being said Internet advertising through Ecabs might take up more resources and slow it down. I t...

If you look further into the site you will see another Thermwood for less $$ and it has basically the same description. Cut & paste but they forgot to edit

Re: Buying & Updating a Used CNC?

Jesse, I think that is a high price for a 2000 C40. I have a 2002 C40 that I bought new and then a few years ago bought a C42 with twin spindles and twin tables. I did it because I already had the same exact year system so parts are interchangeable and I know the CNC and controller and besides I lik...

Re: Tool Measuring Problem

Hey Andrew, I have the exact problem once in a while. My CNC's are both made in 2002 and one is a C40 and the other is a C42. Both have the same tool length measure device. A milky plastic 2"+- disc on top with 3 small Allen screws. once you remove them there is a spring under it and a plastic ...

Re: Closet

Sorry your having a bad day. I can't think of too many things that involve lawyers that are good days other than some real estate deals or the day you get a check from them and it wasn't from an injury or death in the family. Do you mean "NO" to being able to accomplish in a few clicks wha...

Re: Closet

Hey George, Thanks or taking the time to draw this up but your own words ("It took me about an 1 Hr") are what I am trying to get this operation added as a parametric feature. Would it be better if it was only a few clicks? :D If you change any part of the cubby, you have to redo a dxf, th...

Re: Closet

Hey George, Nice closet. On your shoe cubby how did you do that one? are they just fixed shelves with partitions? I am trying to get Ecabinets to have the ability to do slide joints. You know the kind that you find in the box that has a dozen glasses in it with cardboard strips separating them. This...
