Re: Populate material button for assemblies

Mark,

Seems like there is something going on. Assemblies work in the Cabinet Editor to populate the materials, just not in Batch or Custom Layout. I'll pass the issue on to the software engineers.

Re: Profile modeler inconsistent toolpath

Kerry,

Might be my eyes, but I think I see red lines like it is profiling open space around the part? You should be able to see for sure if you rotate around and zoom in. If the red lines are there in the screen the motions will be in the code for them.

Re: Profile modeler inconsistent toolpath

Kerry, I tried a tool similar to yours, but it did profiling for the entire tool in the toe kick notch area. I suspect this is because it was seeing the top of the notch area as having material the profile was "touching" so it created the path for the entire tool. Jeremy is on latest versi...

Re: Profile modeler inconsistent toolpath

Jeremy, Can you post or email me the .tol for your original tool, your plunge depth, and the cabinet you are working with? I don't get the same results as you working with the below pictured tool on the Std Base Frameless cabinet with toe kick notch. I plunged mine at -.75", the thickness of 3/...

Re: Profile modeler inconsistent toolpath

Jeremy, Can you send me an export from Control Nesting to cabinets@thermwood.com so I can take a look? You can post it here if you want but tends to be a few extra steps. Just make sure that .twd is loaded in so it is in for testing. I may need more files but that will be a start. Some initial quest...

Re: Off-Fall Rectangles

Joshua,

Version 7.03 was released yesterday and now contains a dropdown in Nesting Parameters that will hopefully get you at least back to where you where prior, if not add some more options as well.

Re: Off-Fall Rectangles

Joshua,

Can you get me an export for the job that generated the off fall for the image you posted? If you can't post it here you can email it to program@thermwood.com, put Attn Clint Forum in the subject line so I know what it is.

Re: Roughing and CN

Stuart,

We just released version 7.01 that should address your issues with software crashing when dealing with roughing. Hopefully that gets you on the path to figure out what else is going on.

Re: Roughing and CN

Stuart, I see the same thing crashing on my desktop version and sent the information to the software engineers. I'll let you know more when I know more. Can you get me an export of your current settings and a little more description of what is going on with DXFs and Manual Nesting? Also a DXF or two...

Re: Bug Report: Sheet Images

Tommy,

Got it and have it reproducing. I've put the issue in for the software engineers. We are really close to a release so it may not make it for the next version. If it does you should see it in the release notes. Thanks for letting us know!

Re: Bug Report: Sheet Images

Tommy, Can you post an export and a screenshot of what is it before moving, then after? Seems to be behaving OK for me so I want to see what you are seeing. If you can't post you can email to cabinets@thermwood.com Generally for bug reporting you can email CNC Automation for their assistance. -Clint-

Re: Hoops Error

Terry, We can't get it to open here on any computer. I gave it to the software engineer, he extracted the .hsf data from the job and loaded it directly into HOOPS and it failed loading as well. If you resave the job as another name on your laptop so you have another copy, are you able to load it on ...

Re: thinking out loud

Some features/updates I would smile about. 1. Ability to run through-cut pockets after outline. Would be useful in the scenario where the part is a 2-inch wide frame, for example. If the pocket is cut first, that leaves the frame with very little surface area for the vacuum to hold it down effectiv...
