Gerry, what thickness drawer material are you using?
We use 5/8" melamine or baltic birch.

Re: KD fasteners and tooling

What is the application for the flush mount as compared to the one that protrude? I am sure there are other situations that require them but for us it would be, drawers so the drawer face fits flush and cabinets that need to sit flush on another cabinet or have another cabinet or counter sit flush ...

Re: KD fasteners and tooling

We use the Rafix also. There are 2 versions 1 sits 1mm proud of the surface & the other will go flush. You need a 20mm drill bit that cuts a chamfer for the flush version. We use a 20mm drill bit for the type that sits proud. We don't use them on a lot of cabinets but for some applications they ...

Hi,
I found if the drill bits are listed in the tool manager before the other tools CN will choose them first.

Re: Sheet void

You enter points from absolute 0,0 to define the location of the void on the sheet. The origin should be the corner of the sheet closest to home. The series of points must be closed. Dennis Hi Dennis, I have been trying to use the rectangle center point option. I am going out to the router to give ...

Re: eCabinet Systems Version 6.0 Build 10 is so 2012

It has been a long time since we have seen a new version or even a indication it is being worked on or what improvements are to be included. Gerry Don't worry, eCabinet Systems is being worked on. We released Build 12 Beta to the beta guys yesterday. That is great news Rick. Thanks for the update. ...

Sheet void

Hi, I am having a hard time getting my head around how the sheet void area works in Control nesting 5.73. I understand the basic idea of the feature but don't know how to indicate a particular location on a sheet that needs to be voided. :wall: Could someone please clue me in on this works. TIA, Gerry

Re: eCabinet Systems Version 6.0 Build 10 is so 2012

I have been thinking the same thing Neville. It seems that eCabinets has been on the back burner for quite a while. I would really like to see some things like the ability to lock openings and a dedicated drawer stretcher. (the fixed shelf with back inset works but must be adjusted with each change...

Re: Vacuum Pump for my C53

Will,

What is the model number of your pump. We bought our router used and it did not come with a pump so I don't know about the Becker line.

Thanks,
Gerry

Re: Vacuum Pump for my C53

Hi Gavin, Our bed is 5' X 12' and we use a pair of Busch 10 hp pumps. We have a vacuum gauge installed on the line to the machine bed so we can watch the vacuum level & run the second pump if necessary. We do run both pumps if we are cutting a lot of small parts. You need a pump that will pull a...

Re: Fixed shelf Screw holes

Hi Josh,
That is what we are doing now but as you say it is a fiddle when you change cabinet depths you need to make a new seed. It would be great if we could set up a pattern then apply it like a hardware pattern to edge joints in construction settings. Maybe in the next version.

Thanks,
Gerry

Re: Fixed shelf Screw holes

Hi Daniel, We put 4 screws in our base cabinet joints & 2 dowels to align the screws end up being multiples of 32 but not on 32 mm so 160 or 128 between screws depending. Last time I tried to make it work there just was no way to do it. We create a pattern in the part editor then make a copy of ...

Re: Fixed shelf Screw holes

Hi,

If you need the holes to match a 32mm pattern so you can drill the shelf with a 32mm drill it is impossible to use the RTA pattern unless I am missing something.
If you just need holes evenly spaced it will work well.

Re: Moving a Thermwood 3 axis CNC

Hi Gavin, It "might" make it ok. It would be wise to remove it but you need someone who knows computers to do it. When hard drives are shipped they are packed in foam to prevent shocks. I suggest you get a copy of Acronis drive image software & get an image of the drive as soon as you ...
