One last picture. This is a 45 degree bevel on 3/4 plywood. This lets you see the size of the "Steps" a little better.
There is a little fuzzing on the plys that are cross grain, but sands off easily with a block.

Re: Do you cut beveled edges?
Here is a picture of a 22.5-degree bevel with 3/4" particle board for a corner cabinet back. Same tool, same nest.

Re: Do you cut beveled edges?
Gene, Here is a picture of some 1/2" Baltic Birch Drawer parts for a Blum corner cabinet we cut this morning. The step was .03125" Bevel.jpg Be sure to use a down-cut bit. An upcut or compression leaves a fuzz that must be sanded. The "Steps" in the cut make a good glue joint. We...

Re: Do you cut beveled edges?
Gene, We do a lot of bevel cuts on corner cabinets, vent hood cabinets etc. all with different cut angles. I set up a tool group in profile modeler called "Chamfer" that is nothing more than a 1/4" down-cut end mill with a small stepover. This single tool models all the bevel angles w...

Re: Edge banding for applied end panels.
Scott, The only thing I can think of is to use a stretcher. You could add properly sized left and right stretchers with edge-banding to the cabinets, turn them into phantom parts and mesh them into the left and right ends. Clipboard01.jpg When you need them, turn off phantom and move them into place...

Show Cutout Measurements
Is it possible to show dimensions of cutouts created in the Wall Edit View in a wall elevation without taking the wall into the Line Drawing Editor?

Line Drawing Editor Open in New Window
Would it be possible to have the line Drawing Editor open in a new window and remain open so we could see it and pull measurements while working in Custom Layout and the Cabinet Editor?
Making the Line Drawing Editor "Dynamic" would also be nice but I hate to be needy and greedy.

Shelf Pin Count
I would like to be able to add a User Defined Part (Shelf Pin) to adjustable shelves with parameters to adjust from four to six per shelf, so I can get a count for the job. We are just guessing and are either way short or way long on every job. If the sheet goods cut-list component tab would differe...

Re: cainet not showing in LDE
JR,
Try disassociating the cabinet from the wall the re-associate it and see if this fixes it.

Add Ability to Re-size Doors and Windows
Would it be possible to add the ability to re-size doors and windows after they are placed in Custom layout? It would be nice if it worked like Re-Size/Equalize for cabinets. Select the door or window, enter a new size and select to adjust left, right or both or top, bottom, or both. It would also b...

Re: MDF shaker doors
I won't be any help. We don't do many MDF Doors, so I use eCabinets for sizes and paste them into another software for the doors. I can't do any cuts on the flip side though, just face cuts.

Re: How Do You Do It?
Will, This isn't really about eCabinets. eCabinets is just one of the tools we use. Even if you are doing commercial jobs, you still need some way to handle project management and customer resources. You need a place to store info about customers and jobs, what jobs are in the pipeline and where the...

How Do You Do It?
I am starting this thread in the lounge because it contains some non-eCabinet references. This is my process in the office for all of our jobs. It feels cumbersome in these very busy times, and I would like to know how others handle these processes. I start with - AirTable integrated with Google Cal...
