Re: What is wrong with this cabinet?

Clarification: I do not have this cabinet in a room. I just am building this cabinet from library. I don't even have it saved to a job file yet. Just a single cabinet.

Re: What is wrong with this cabinet?

I have exactly the same issue. Just upgraded to new version and now I can't add fixed shelves to this cabinet nor can I equalize the space. The top is inset 2 ways so think Kerry might be right about inset making this happen.(?) Unworkable construction for fixed opening. If I go back and make the to...

Re: Kinda off the subject of eCabs - TWD CNC machines

Don, I answered this in machine topic section for same post. Sorry about double posting or repeating what others have already said. I should have known this group of folks (who always prove to be a tremendous resource for TWD owners) would have covered this by now. I want to own another TWD router s...

Re: Possible switch from other CNC to a TWD CNC

Don, I am surprised nobody else has responded here and sorry for not doing so earlier. We are really busy making stuff so no time to cruise the Forum. 1- We run our machine about 10 hours a day. Owned it since 2003 and upgraded to new controls in 2015 +/-. It is a great pace of machinery and a tool ...

Re: Cutting into adjacent parts

Thanks Thomas adn Troy. We've cut angled parts before without his issue but never a whole set of them all together.
We'll likely try the radius end first so we don't add extra space between every part in nest.

Cutting into adjacent parts

I tried to search forum for answer but couldn't find a thread.
We ran these in eCabinets and nested at machine but we are\getting the tools running into adjacent parts. Since nested on Rolling Nest, any suggestions?

Re: Holiday Deer

Brad, If interested, here is the 2 deer version with 4 antlers, one set with minor modification and set up for 0.735 material. Thanks for your assistance in retrieving this oldie but goodie project! If you want a MasterCam version of this as a .nc file, just ask.

Re: Holiday Deer

No apologies necessary. Yours are nicer than the ones we made and more stable (pun intended). I'm stealing yours for this run.
We are making out of 3/4" PVC Foam for weatherproof and no need to paint as white already. Will post pic if successful.
Thx again!

Actually these are different than the ones we stole originally if you notice legs are different, antlers different, etc.
Merry Christmas!

Holiday Deer

Probably about 10 years ago, somewhere on this forum, someone posted a "Holiday Deer" file that made two deer cutouts per 4x8 sheet. We cut some (pic attached) but over years and upgrades and whatever we can't find file. Does anyone still have it??? I've searched the forums for "deer&...

Waste Baord issues

Apparently we have done something to make our machine think our waste board is 0.060" thicker than it actually is. So everything is not deep enough. We are faking the machine by entering a waste board into the "machine variables" table in drop down menu. How do we fix this mess we've ...

Re: Y axis Out of bounds

All, thanks for the feedback. So you know, this issue was a tool comp issue in the program. Apparently the automatic tool comp adjustment was not doing something properly. In Mastercam, we can either use the tool diameter actually in the machine or we can hard code the tool diameter before we post t...

Re: Y axis Out of bounds

Thomas, ours is older machine and not set like that but we do have a wire chase similar and we will check. However, Thermwood had me turn off tool comp and program runs like a dream, even though we ran it 4" above table. Not in wiring likely.

Re: Y axis Out of bounds

Thomas, thanks for the suggestion. In the picture, where did you take it? Are these wires in the spindle head or under the table?
