You can take the custom layout to the LDE then right click, and under select mode click cabinet. Then click on all the cabinets and click the hide buttom. This will hide all cabinets and make it easier to dimension the tops. Here is one I did today.

I may have found a fix for this countertop problem. I created the countertop for the island then took it into the part editor. I then put a 1/2\" chamfer on each corner. After doing this, the job saved fine. :D

Joe, Everything here was done in build 3. I started this job this afternoon. I was wondering if I would run into any of the bugs others were experiencing when I started on this. Up to adding countertops on the island, I didn't have any problems except the corner upper. I have thought it's strange th...

Joe, This job has saved several times with 3 of the countertops in the job. Below is a picture with the 3 countertops in the job. When I put a countertop on the island cabinets is when the job freezes up when saving it. I have tried saving it with other changes with no problems until I add this coun...

Resizing and Saving Problems Build 3

I am designing a job in Build 3 and have a problem when I resize an angled corner upper cabinet when installing it in the detail room. When it is resized and comes into the detail room, it shows as a 12\" wall cabinet. When I click to set it, an angled corner cabinet is set. Below is a picture ...

I bought a Dell M90 2GB DDR2-667MHZ, 80GB HD 7200RPM, NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500M 512MB with XP Pro and installed V5 Build 2 and could not tell much difference from my Toshiba (cheap) laptop. Now, after instaling Build 3, this Dell laptop is way faster. I am designing my forst job on it in Build 3 and am...

Rick,

I'll second Al's comment. Below is the cabinet using your idea. Doing this I ran into the same problem I'm having with all my assemblies in which I delete sides off a cabinet. The doors will not place right on one side of the cabinet.

Here it is with doors. Sure is a lot slower adding parts one at a time. Also makes me think too much.

Al, That's along the lines of what I'm trying to do. I need to have a center style in the top and bottom opening of the cabinet. I also need a partition behind each style. Then I will put glass doors on the top openings. On the bottom, I will put doors on one design and copy another design with 4 dr...

Am I missing something?

I am designing a large corner entertainment center. I need to add mid styles and partitions. The drop box in the ff editor doesn't have a mid style to add. Nor does the shelf and partition editor have partitions to add for a face frame angled corner cabinet. I guess I never noticed this before. I'm ...

Justin,

Here is the assembly that I am having trouble with. I have made several other assemblies similar to this, and have the same problems with them.

I have not gotten this resolved. Every assembly I create does this. I wonder if it is tied into the problem people are having deleting assemblies. One of the Thermwood guys worked on it and sent it back to me and I still had problems with it. I have been so busy, I haven't had time to mess with it a...

Mike Look back a few pages for a post I made on doors. I am making assemblies with 3 cabinets. The middle cabinet has both sides and the right and left style deleted. When you add doors or drawer fronts to the center cabinet, 1 side will have the 1/2\" overlay and the other side of the drawer f...

New problem with doors

I am creating an assembly with 3 base cabinets. On the outside 2 cabinets I am deleting the left side and style on the right cabinet and the right side and style on the right cabinet. When I take the cabinets in to the door editor to add doors, the left cabinet works fine. The right cabinet adds the...
