Mark, Drawer boxes, stretchers and perhaps even some other elements will be allowed in Part Editor in a future version/build, according to a post from Jason not too long ago. They wanted to implement drawer boxes and stretchers in to the software A.S.A.P. so people could start cutting them right awa...

Lorin, Once you've created your countertop, highlight it by double clicking, then right mouse click and choose 'Part Editor' from the pop-up menu. Once in Part Editor, make your cutout first, then profile the edge(s) if you wish. Just remember to make your cutout first, as Part Editor won't allow ge...

Joe, This one has always frustrated me, because the origin points don't change to reflect the visible shape. The offsets in the align function should do the trick, with some experimentation. (Before I learned this trick, I set my 'Move Increment' value to 1/64\" and nudged pieces into place wit...

Joe, Depending on how much work it was to get the part profiled, you CAN do certain 'cuts' by creating a tool the size and shape of the cut you need, then creating a path that the tool will follow to achieve that cut. It will depend on the orientation of your piece, and whether or not you can profil...

Re: Strange Kitchen

The way the California remodel works if you leave a few of the existing walls in a little clunker of a house you don't have to pay the extreme fees that you would for a new house. Nice loophole, huh? I've worked on quite a few 2 & 3 flats in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago where similar regula...

Yes! If it's an individual cabinet, highlight (select) the cabinet, right-click, then choose \"Adjust Cabinet Features\", then choose \"Edit Cabinet\". If it's an Assembly, highlight (select) the assembly, right-click, then choose \"Edit Assembly\". (You can then edit t...

Ray, I actually use this as a big selling point with my clients, it's one of the things that makes us a true custom shop. In eCabs, you can accomplish this one of 3 ways. Either build your cabinets frameless and 'stick build' your faceframes with display boards, or make your cabs one giant one with ...

Kerry, You couldn't be more correct! This one took 30 minutes, although I'll admit 10 minutes of that was trying to add doors and the drawer front in the Cabinet Editor. I eventually had to add them in Custom Layout. For some strange reason, even though I've never so much as clicked on the Constrain...

Y' all mean like this? Funny thing, I was in a meeting with my regular millwork supplier around the time of Gordon's original post. I've been wooing them to produce a higher end version of the built-ins that most of their builder & homeowner clients have produced on site, with quicker turnaround...
