for that you can always create manual holes and constrain them on the back... might just want to do the same on the side as well to ensure that they will always line up. Takes a little longer on the initial set-up, but might be faster than trying to Macgyver another solution

make sure that you have your tools set to interpolate, and that the interpolate diameter is sufficiently large enough to be able to run through the holes you are making. is this a dxf file that you are trying to cut? I'm pretty sure that when you set your layer names for different opperations in autocad, you need to specify not only the depth of the opperation, but the diameter of the tool that is doing it. If you set the wrong diameter of tool, it won't be able to ...
